We present a case of an interstitial subtelomeric 10q26 deletion in a male child with moderate developmental delay and minor dysmorphic features. Using array comparative genomic hybridization (CGH) and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), we have detected an interstitial deletion at 10q26.2q26.

Normative data on the objective age of acquisition (AoA) for 286 Russian words are presented in this article. In addition, correlations between the objective AoA and subjective ratings, name agreement, picture name agreement, imageability, familiarity, word frequency, and word length are provided, as are correlations between the objective AoA and two measures of exemplar dominance (exemplar generation frequency and the number of times an exemplar was named first). The correlations between the aforementioned variables are generally consistent with the correlations reported in other normative studies.

The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between the speed of emotional information processing and emotional intelligence (EI). To evaluate individual differences in the speed of emotional information processing, a recognition memory task consisted of two subtests similar in design but differing in the emotionality of the stimuli. The first subtest required judgment about whether an emotional facial expression in the test face was identical to one of the four emotional expressions of the same individual previously presented.

Using a longitudinal twin study of Moscow children, we have studied the development of psychometric intelligence during the transition from preschool (age 6) to school (age 7). Children were tested using the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC). Simplex models were applied to explore the relationship of different sources of phenotypic variance.
