Breast cancer presents a significant global health challenge, necessitating continued innovation in diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. Recent advances have led to the identification of cancer-associated fibroblasts, which are highly prevalent in breast cancers and express fibroblast activation proteins (FAPs), as critical targets. FAP-specific radiotracers, when used with PET/CT and SPECT/CT, have significant potential for improving early breast cancer detection, staging, treatment response monitoring, and therapeutic intervention.

Congenital neutropenia (CoN) is a heterogeneous group of inborn errors of immunity (IEI) characterized by recurrent infections and early onset of neutropenia (NP). This study aimed to investigate the demographic and clinical data of children with CoN and idiopathic neutropenia (IN) in Morocco. We performed a retrospective study of patients with CoN and analyzed the clinical and laboratory findings of patients with CoN and IN diagnosed between 1999 and 2018 in a clinical immunology unit of a large pediatric hospital.

Background: The Ets-1 transcription factor plays a primordial role in regulating the expression of numerous genes implicated in cancer progression. In a previous study, we revealed that poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase-1 (PARP-1) inhibition by PJ-34 results in Ets-1 level increase in cells, which is related with cell death of Ets-1-expressing cancer cells.
Aims: The mechanism of the antitumor effect of PARP-1 inhibition was investigated in the Ets-1-expressing MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells.

Background: The management choice for the middle cerebral artery aneurysms (MCAAs) is still controversial. This review aims to describe a single-center "clipping first" policy for MCAA over 40 years of experience and compare the short- and long-term clinical outcomes by aneurysm's location.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study reviews the whole series of a single-center intracranial aneurysm mainly based on the micro-neurosurgical experience of the senior authors (EOA and EKA).

In the title mol-ecule, CHNO, the substituents on the phenyl ring are rotated slightly out of the mean plane of the ring but the piperidine moiety is nearly perpendicular to that plane. In the crystal, C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds form chains of mol-ecules extending along the -axis direction, which are linked by C=O⋯π(ring) inter-actions. A Hirshfeld surface analysis showed the majority of inter-molecular inter-actions to be H⋯H contacts while O⋯H/H⋯O contacts are the second most numerous.

Post-Concussion Syndrome (PCS) represents a complex constellation of symptoms that persist following a concussion or mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI), with significant implications for patient care and outcomes. Despite its prevalence, diagnosing PCS presents considerable challenges due to the subjective nature of symptoms, the absence of specific diagnostic tests, and the overlap with other neurological and psychiatric conditions. This review explores the multifaceted diagnostic challenges associated with PCS, including the heterogeneity of symptom presentation, the limitations of current neuroimaging techniques, and the overlap of PCS symptoms with other disorders.

Background: SARS-CoV-2 responsible for the COVID-19 pandemic, infiltrates the human body by binding to the ACE2 receptor in the respiratory system cell membranes, leading to severe lung tissue damage. An analog of ACE2, ACE1, has gained attention due to its well-known Deletion/Insertion (D/I) polymorphism, which seems to be associated with COVID-19 outcomes. This study aims to reveal the allelic and genotypic frequencies of the rs4646994 polymorphism in the Moroccan population and investigate the association between COVID-19 outcomes and both genotypic and demographic data.

This paper investigates enhancing the efficiency of solar water pumping systems (SWPS) by implementing a Maximum Power Point Tracking technique based on the Bat Metaheuristic Optimizer (MPPT-bat) for the photovoltaic generator (PVG) side, coupled with Direct Torque Control (DTC) for the induction motor powering the pump. Unlike traditional techniques, which make no compromise between tracking speed, oscillation and robustness. The integration of the MPPT-bat represents a significant advance, making it possible to improve PVG performance whatever the weather conditions.

Glycogen Storage Disease Type Ib (GSD-Ib) is a rare autosomal recessive metabolic disorder caused by mutations in SLC37A4, leading to a deficiency in glucose-6-phosphate translocase. This disorder is characterized by impaired glycogenolysis and gluconeogenesis, resulting in clinical and metabolic manifestations. We report a three-month-old Moroccan female patient presenting with doll-like facies, hepatomegaly, dysmorphic features, and developmental delays.

The development of ion-sensitive field-effect transistor (ISFET) sensors based on silicon nanowires (SiNW) has recently seen significant progress, due to their many advantages such as compact size, low cost, robustness and real-time portability. However, little work has been done to predict the performance of SiNW-ISFET sensors. The present study focuses on predicting the performance of the silicon nanowire (SiNW)-based ISFET sensor using four machine learning techniques, namely multilayer perceptron (MLP), nonlinear regression (NLR), support vector regression (SVR) and extra tree regression (ETR).

Understanding the relationship between elastic, chemical, and thermal properties is essential for the prevention of the behavior of SiO flint aggregates during their application. In fact, the elastic properties of silica depend on chemical and heat treatment. In order to identify the crystallite sizes for natural SiO before and after chemical treatment samples, Williamson-Hall plots and Scherer's formulas are used.

The intake of mushrooms provides numerous beneficial properties for the correct functioning of the human body due to their rich content in carbohydrates, proteins, fibers, vitamins, and minerals. However, most of the reports are focused on the determination of bioactive compounds and only a few regarding the essential mineral content and the evaluation of the RDI. Thus, the aim of this study was to determine the mineral composition of different cultivated ( and ) and wild edible mushrooms (, , , , , and ) collected in the south of Spain and north of Morocco.
