Chitosan and bio-based epoxy resins have emerged as promising formaldehyde-free replacements for traditional urea-formaldehyde (UF) adhesives in engineered wood products. This study evaluated five chitosan-to-epoxy weight ratios (3:1, 2:1, 1:1, 1:2, 1:3) as adhesives for hot-pressing medium density fiberboards (MDF) using mixed hardwood fibers. Increasing the epoxy ratio reduced viscosity and gel time, facilitating spraying and fast curing.

Objective: Based on objective criteria of the structural and functional state of the kidneys in various urgent surgical and uronephrological pathologies (peritonitis, pancreonecrosis, intestinal obstruction, urinary peritonitis, acute purulent secondary pyelonephritis) to identify and prove the general pattern of development of renal changes, their influence on the pathogenesis of homeostasis disorders at the organizational level and to form the evidence base of a new symptom complex - renal distress syndrome in surgery and uronephrology; to establish the effectiveness of Remaxol in its correction.

Material And Methods: Experimentally on 60 mongrel dogs with acute peritonitis, pancreatitis, intestinal obstruction of varying severity, the state of renal function, including detoxification, was assessed based on the assessment of the inflow-outflow difference in the level of toxins and in the parenchyma of organs - the composition of lipids, the activity of peroxidation of membrane lipids and phospholipases. Clinical and laboratory studies included patients with acute peritonitis (48), acute pancreatitis (18), intestinal obstruction (21), acute purulent secondary pyelonephritis (19).

Purpose of the study improving the diagnosis of precancerous diseases and cancer of the oral mucosa using fluorescent immunocytochemical studies by direct immunofluorescence. A clinical laboratory examination of 111 patients was carried out: 46 patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the oral mucosa, 35 people with precancerous lesions (17 leukoplakia, 18 - oral lichen planus) and 30 healthy people. All patients underwent a traditional cytological examination and an additional immunocytochemical examination by direct immunofluorescence, the expression levels of tumor markers P53, P16 and Ki67 were determined.

Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology with a Course of Pharmaceutical Technology, Medicine Institute, Ogarev Mordovian State University, Saransk, Republic of Mordovia 430005, Russia.

This study shows that membrane-associated cytoskeletal protein structures and the erythrocyte morphology undergo profound changes during hypoxia. Hypoxia also intensified oxidative processes in the lipid phase of the bilayer of red blood cell membranes. Sodium nitroprusside impaired the morphology of red blood cells and altered quantitative and qualitative composition of membrane-skeletal proteins.

The effect of a cerebroprotective agent magnesium bis-aminoethanesulfonate (laboratory code FS-LKhT-317) on intracellular calcium concentration was studied by the fluorescent imaging technique on neuroglial cell culture from Spraque-Dawley rat hippocampus. The substance produced a pronounced inhibitory effect and suppressed NMDA receptor activity in concentrations of ≥50 μM. The observed effects were reversible or partially reversible and were detected by a decrease in Ca signal amplitude in neurons in response to NMDA applications in a Mg-free medium and by inhibition of Ca pulses in magnesium-free medium (elimination of magnesium block).

The mononuclear phagocytes control the body homeostasis through the involvement in resolving tissue injury and further wound healing. Indeed, local tissue microenvironmental changes can significantly influence the functional behavior of monocytes and macrophages. Such microenvironmental changes for example occur in an atherosclerotic plaque during all progression stages.
