The cortical distribution of the proper name (PN) retrieval network has been widely studied contrary to its connectional anatomy. Here, we report the case of three patients with a low-grade glioma damaging the mid-to-anterior part of the left temporal lobe. A longitudinal behavioural assessment showed that the surgery caused a long-lasting decline in PN retrieval performances in all patients.

Introduction: Clinical tests that can identify inferior glenohumeral ligament (IGHL) complex injuries are indispensable for the diagnosis of shoulder instability. Gagey's hyperabduction test had been developed to diagnose IGHL hyperlaxity, however, it is unclear whether the test is able to accurately diagnose an IGHL lesion. The aim of this study was to (1) determine the diagnostic performance of the Gagey test in identifying an IGHL lesion and (2) determine if a positive Gagey test is more predictive for an anterior or posterior IGHL lesion thanks to the heatmapping of the lesions.

Posterior shoulder instability is generally caused by traumatic posterior dislocations or repetitive microtrauma during sports or other activities and has an annual incidence rate of 4.64 per 100,000 person-years. Several surgical techniques to treat posterior shoulder instability have been described, including soft-tissue repair and both open and arthroscopic bone block procedures.

A multicystic intraventricular tumour of the right ventricular atrium was incidentally diagnosed on follow-up imaging of a 61-year-old man with a history of prostatic adenocarcinoma. Surgical resection of the lesion was performed after a one-year radio-clinical follow-up due to progressive expansion of the lesion size and a rising prostate specific antigen blood-level. Morphological features with papillary pattern on pathological examination were compatible with malignant adenocarcinoma or choroid plexus carcinoma.

Acute parvovirus B19 infection may lead to erythroblastopenia crisis in patients with underlying red blood cells disorders. We report herein an uncommon concomitant transient aplastic crisis in a mother and her daughter, both affected by hereditary spherocytosis. The diagnosis was confirmed by the detection of a very high parvovirus B19 DNA load in both the mother's and daughter's sera, associated with the presence of parvovirus B19 specific immunoglobulin-M antibodies.

Background: The European Low-Grade Glioma network indicated a need to better understand common practices regarding the managing of diffuse low-grade gliomas. This area has experienced great advances in recent years.
Method: A general survey on the managing of diffuse low-grade gliomas was answered by 21 centres in 11 European countries.

The organization of basic functions of the human brain, particularly in the right hemisphere, remains poorly understood. Recent advances in functional neuroimaging have improved our understanding of cortical organization but do not allow for direct interrogation or determination of essential (versus participatory) cortical regions. Direct cortical stimulation represents a unique opportunity to provide novel insights into the functional distribution of critical epicentres.
