Background And Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the factors that influence physiotherapists' decision in choosing restorative or compensatory rehabilitation during gait training in people with neurological disorders (PwNDs) and the different treatments used in the approaches.
Methods: This cross-sectional analysis used the baseline data from an observational cohort study. We analyzed data from 83 PwNDs (65 people after stroke, 5 with multiple sclerosis, and 13 with Parkinson's disease) who underwent at least 10 sessions of physiotherapy (PT) focusing on gait function.

Spinal cord injury (SCI) is a traumatic event that significantly impacts body composition and alters energy and nutritional needs. This places patients with SCI at a high risk of malnutrition, which can hinder optimal functional recovery, prolong hospital stays, increase hospital admissions, and contribute to the development of obesity and cardiovascular and metabolic ailments in chronic patients. Consequently, there is an urgent need for clear guidance to support clinicians in managing the nutritional needs of patients with SCI at different stages of the disease, including the acute (0 - 4 months after injury), post-acute (4 - 26 months after injury), and post-discharge phases.

The practice of recto-colonic water irrigation to treat constipation has been used since ancient times with different, uncontrolled, and variably performing methods which have been considered interchangeably all alike. The use of better-performing devices with a standardized methodology is relatively recent, and the term Trans Anal Irrigation (TAI) defines a methodology performed with devices able to control the timing, volume, and pressure of the water introduced into the rectum and colon utilizing a catheter or a cone through the anus. Such practice has been implemented with favorable responses in patients with refractory chronic constipation secondary to neurological diseases.

Pressure injuries (PIs) are a common complication in patients with spinal cord injury/disorder (SCI/D), and deep PIs require surgical treatment consisting of wide debridement and adequate reconstruction. We conducted a retrospective observational study at a tertiary rehabilitation hospital for SCI/D in Italy with the aim of describing the incidence and associated risk factors of postoperative complications in individuals with SCI/D presenting with chronic deep PIs, treated with a specific flap selection algorithm based on the site of the defect, the presence of scars from previous surgeries, and the need to spare reconstructive options for possible future recurrences. Medical records of surgical procedures performed on SCI/D patients with fourth-degree PIs, according to NPUAP classification (National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel), between July 2011 and January 2018 were reviewed.

Background: Recent studies underscore that healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and multidrug-resistant (MDR) HAIs affect rehabilitation outcomes and hospital length of stay (LOS) for severe acquired brain injury (sABI).
Objective: This study aimed to estimate HAI incidence in different sABI rehabilitation settings and determine risk factors and HAI impact on neuromotor and cognitive recovery.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective multicenter study in two semi-intensive units (SICUs), two high-specialty post-acute units (PAUs), and one long-term care (LTC) rehabilitation facility.
Study Design: Prospective cohort study.
Objectives: To investigate the sensitivity to change and prognostic validity of Trunk Control Test (TCT) and Thoracic-Lumbar Control Scale (TLC) in terms of mobility in persons with motor complete thoracic spinal cord injury (SCI).
Setting: Participants were recruited at an Italian SCI rehabilitation facility from October 2015 to January 2020.
