Given the ease of synthetic accessibility and the promising biological profile demonstrated by both imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine and Chalcone derivatives, a series of Chalcone-based imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine derivatives were synthesized and characterized using H NMR, C NMR, Mass Spectrometry and FTIR techniques. Density functional theory (DFT) was employed to investigate the structural and electronic properties, providing insights into potential reactive sites. The synthesized compounds were evaluated in vitro for their antiviral properties against human immunodeficiency virus type-1 (HIV-1) and human immunodeficiency virus type-2 (HIV-2) in MT-4 cells.

PqsE and RhlR, key regulators of the Pseudomonas aeruginosa quorum sensing (QS) system, form a hetero-tetrameric complex essential for controlling the expression of virulence factors such as pyocyanin. The interaction between the PqsE homodimer and the RhlR homodimer bound to C4-HSL, enables RhlR to bind low-affinity promoters, thereby influencing gene regulation. Recent studies suggest that RhlR transcriptional activity is modulated by temperature, exhibiting higher activity at environmental temperatures (25 °C) compared to mammalian body temperature (37 °C).

Evans syndrome (ES) is a rare syndrome characterised by the association of autoimmune idiopathic hemolytic anemia (AIHA) with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) and, less commonly, autoimmune neutropenia (AIN). ES may be primary or secondary to some aetiology, including, exceptionally, tuberculosis. We describe a case of association between pulmonary and medullary tuberculosis and Evans syndrome with an effective response to antitubercular treatment and corticosteroids.

Methods: Serotype-specific IPD cases and population denominators were obtained directly from surveillance sites using PCV10 or PCV13 in their national immunisation programmes and with a primary series uptake of at least 50%.
Background: In Morocco, latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) is a public health concern affected by the country's location as transit area between sub-Saharan Africa with high TB burden to Europe. This study aimed to assess the influence of exposure intensity to Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb), age, and Bacille Calmette-Guérin (BCG) vaccination on LTBI prevalence in Morocco.
Methods: A cross-sectional study of 131 participants, including 98 non-exposed healthy volunteers (NEHV) and 33 healthcare workers exposed to active TB (exposed healthcare workers [EHCW]), was conducted.

Background: The Middle East and North African (MENA) region is a major global hotspot for migration with more than 40 million migrants, who may be an under-vaccinated group because of barriers to vaccination within countries of origin, transit, and destination. We systematically synthesised the evidence on coverage, acceptance, drivers of uptake, and policies pertaining to vaccination for children and adult migrants in the region, in order to explore tailored interventions for these groups.
Methods: We searched six databases (including Medline, Embase) for peer-reviewed literature, and other websites (including WHO, IOM, ministries of health) for grey literature on coverage, acceptance, drivers of uptake and policies for any vaccination in migrants in the MENA region from between 2000 and 27 August 2024 in any language.

Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is a rare and aggressive form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) that can occur in the breast. This case report details the case of a 48-year-old postmenopausal woman diagnosed with primary breast DLBCL after presenting with a painless, rapidly growing mass. Imaging studies, including ultrasound and mammography, indicated significant breast involvement, confirmed by histopathological analysis revealing large atypical lymphoid cells.

Background: Genomic sequence similarity comparison is a crucial research area in bioinformatics. Multiple Sequence Alignment (MSA) is the basic technique used to identify regions of similarity between sequences, although MSA tools are widely used and highly accurate, they are often limited by computational complexity, and inaccuracies when handling highly divergent sequences, which leads to the development of alignment-free (AF) algorithms.
Results: This paper presents TreeWave, a novel AF approach based on frequency chaos game representation and discrete wavelet transform of sequences for phylogeny inference.

A series of Imidazo[1,2-]pyridine-Schiff base derivatives were synthesized and characterized using H NMR, C NMR, Mass Spectrometry and FTIR techniques, and the structure of 4a was further confirmed through single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Density Functional Theory (DFT) has been used to investigate the structural and electronic properties. The synthesized compounds were evaluated for their antiviral activity against human immunodeficiency virus type-1 (HIV-1) and human immunodeficiency virus type-2 (HIV-2) in MT-4 cells.

Introduction: Nutrition plays an integral role in optimizing football players' performance during training sessions and matches and maintaining their overall health throughout the season. This study aimed to evaluate how well the dietary practices of professional and adolescent football players in Morocco during the competitive period met international macronutrient recommendations, and to explore the relationship between their nutritional status and aerobic performance, as measured by the Yo-Yo IRL1 test.
Methods: A total of 277 footballers from Morocco's professional league, "Botola-Pro", were monitored over a seven-day (training microcycle) during the competitive period.

Scorpion envenomation, a grave public health concern, is primarily driven by the potent neurotoxins chlorotoxin and leiurotoxin present in Leiurus species venom. Developing effective treatments is crucial to mitigate its impact. Utilizing a drug-repositioning bioinformatics-based approach, potential inhibitors of these neurotoxins were identified from Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved drugs.

Estrogen receptor alpha (ERα) plays a critical role in breast cancer (BC) progression, with endocrine therapy being a key treatment for ERα + BC. However, resistance often arises due to somatic mutations in the ERα ligand-binding domain (LBD). Lasofoxifene, a third-generation selective estrogen receptor modulator, has shown promise against Y537S and D538G mutations.
