The advancement of crystalline growth and characterization tools allows us to investigate novel nonlinear optical substances suitable for photonic applications. Bis-(4-aminopyridine)-zinc(II) acetate (B4AZA), a metal-organic crystal was produced in this study using the slow evaporation procedure at room temperature. Analytical studies such as X-ray crystallography, Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), UV-visible (UV-Vis), fluorescence, second harmonic generation (SHG), and dielectric tests were used to characterize the as-grown B4AZA crystals.

In the current research, Zinc (tris)-thiourea sulfate (ZTTS), a metal-organic crystal, has been synthesized using the slow solvent evaporation technique. Powder-X-ray diffraction (PXRD) analysis, Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, UV-Vis spectroscopy, photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy, and thermal, and second harmonic generation measurements have all been applied to describe the as-synthesized ZTTS crystals. The synthesized samples crystallized in an orthorhombic structure, based on XRD analysis.

In the current study, the co-precipitation technique was employed for the synthesis of Cadmium oxide (CdO) and Copper‒doped Cadmium oxide (Cu‒CdO) nanoparticles. The synthesized samples were subjected to powder X-Ray diffraction (P-XRD), Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), Energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX), Fourier transforms Infrared (FT-IR), UV-Vis spectroscopy, photoluminescence (PL), laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy and antibacterial investigations. According to the P-XRD analysis, both the samples were simple cubic in structure and have average grain sizes of 54 and 28 nm, respectively.

Under conventional and silica-supported Muffle furnace methods, water-soluble substituted trimeric triaryl pyridinium cations with various inorganic counter anions are synthesized. The solvent-free synthesis method is superior to the conventional method in terms of non-toxicity, quicker reaction times, ease of workup, and higher yields. Trimeric substituted pyridinium salts acted as excellent catalytic responses for the preparation of Gem-bisamide derivatives compared with available literature.

The bark extract of (BERM) was recently reported for its prominent in vitro protective effects against liver cell line toxicity caused by various toxicants, including ethanol. Here, we aimed to verify the in vivo hepatoprotective effects of BERM against ethanol intoxication with the prediction of potential targets employing in silico studies. An oral administration of different concentrations (100, 200 and 400 mg/kg body weight) of BERM before high-dose ethanol via intraperitoneal injection was performed in mice.

Liver cancer is a leading cause of cancer death globally. Marine mollusc-derived drugs have gained attention as potential natural-based anti-cancer agents to overcome the side effects caused by conventional chemotherapeutic drugs during cancer therapy. Using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry, the main biomolecules in the purple ink secretion released by the sea hare, named (), were identified as hectochlorin, malyngamide X, malyngolide S, bursatellin and lyngbyatoxin A.

Background And Objective: Cancer cells accumulate high concentrations of reactive oxygen species as a result of their faster and uninhibited metabolic activity. Cancer chemotherapeutic agents release an excess of severe adverse reactions as a result of targeting normal cells. This demands an improvement in targeted drug-delivery systems to selectively discharge anticancer drugs in the vicinity of such highly metabolically and mitotically active cells.

HL1 and HL2 (HL1 = 5-diethylamino-2-({[4-(diethylamino)phenyl]imino}methyl)-phenol; HL2 = 5-diethylamino-2-({[4-(dimethylamino)phenyl]imino}methyl)-phenol) are new Schiff base ligands which were prepared along with their metal(II) complexes of [Cu(L1)] (1), [Cu(L1)] (2), [Ni(L2)] (3) and [Ni(L2)] (4) and characterized by different analytical as well as spectroscopic analyses. The single crystal XRD analysis confirms the proposed structure of ligands such as HL1 and HL2. EPR spectral analysis gives evidence about the tetrahedrally coordinated geometry of complexes 1 and 2.

Ethnopharmacological Relevance: β-Sitosterol is a plant derived compound similar to cholesterol structure and used in the treatment of hypercholesterolemia, prostate cancer, breast cancer and coronary artery disease. But no studies have been reported the effect of β-sitosterol on glucose homeostasis by sensitization of insulin resistance via enhanced protein expression of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPARγ) and glucose transporter 4 (GLUT4) in insulin dependent tissues of high fat diet and streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats.
Materials And Methods: Type 2 diabetes was induced in male albino Wistar rats by feeding them with high fat diet comprising of 84.

This study describes a sensitive reactive oxygen species (ROS)-responsive lecithin (LEC) incorporated iron oxide nanoparticle (FeO NP) system with potent anti-inflammatory properties and even more so when the antioxidant drug curcumin (CUR) is encapsulated in the PLGA hybrid magnetic microsphere system (FeO@LEC-CUR-PLGA-MMS). The delivery system is responsive to ROS including an HO environment to release the payload (CUR) drug. Greater cytotoxicity properties were observed in the presence of FeO@LEC-CUR-PLGA-MMS against A549 and HeLa S3 cells with IC values after 24 h of 10 and 12 μg/mL and 10 and 20 μg/mL, respectively.
