Purpose: To report the early experience of a modified technique of robot-assisted artificial urinary sphincter (AUS) implantation in female, with a posterior approach to the bladder neck and intraoperative real-time cystoscopic monitoring.
Methods: Retrospective monocentric study included all consecutive female who underwent a primary robot-assisted AUS implantation between 2017 and 2019. Real-time intraoperative cystoscopic monitoring was carried out to check the correct level of the dissection and to avoid any injury during bladder neck dissection.

A 57-year-old woman was referred for radioactive iodine therapy 12 weeks after completion thyroidectomy and left modified radical neck dissection for pT2N1Mx follicular variant papillary thyroid carcinoma. After 4 weeks of l-thyroxine withdrawal, stimulated serum thyroglobulin level was less than 0.1 ng/mL with positive thyroglobulin antibody.

Methods: As a retrospective cohort study, we divided the enrolled patients into two groups, the carbon nanoparticle (CN) group and the control group according to the usage of CN. In the CN group, CN was applied to reveal drainage lymph nodes and the picked LNs were sent for fast frozen testing.

Objective: Surgical treatment of advanced intracranial and extracranial communicating skull base tumors is challenging, especially for the reconstruction of the large composite defect left by tumor resection. The aim of the study is to evaluate the utility of the free flap reconstruction of the defects resulting from radical resection of these tumors in a single institution.
Methods: The clinical data of 17 consecutive patients who underwent free flap reconstruction for defect left by salvage resection of advanced intracranial and extracranial communicating tumors from 2013 to 2019 were retrospectively collected and analyzed.

Background: The objective was to develop an assessment tool to evaluate residents' competency for neck dissection and provide preliminary evidence of feasibility, reliability, and validity.
Methods: Six surgeons developed a neck dissection assessment tool using a modified Delphi method and evaluated 58 neck dissections from six junior and six senior otolaryngology residents.
Results: The assessment tool uses a double checklist: a previously validated global rating scale (GRS) and a task-specific checklist (TSC).

Chyle leakage after modified radical neck dissection is a rare condition that could be occasionally life-threatening if untreated. We report the first case of successful management of a thoracic duct injury using extract (Helixor-M). A 54-year-old woman diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer of the right lobe of the thyroid with metastasis to cervical lymph node levels II-VI, bilaterally, underwent total thyroidectomy and modified radical neck dissection.
