This updated Heart Valve Collaboratory framework addresses the growing concern for transcatheter valve failure (TVF) following transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). Background: This study aims to analyze the patient characteristics, clinical outcomes, and contemporary trends concerning type A aortic dissection (TAAD) in previous recipients of abdominal solid organ transplantation (ASOT) in the United States.

Methods: The National Inpatient Sample was queried to identify all patients aged ≥18 with TAAD and a history of ASOT (TAAD-ASOT) between 2002 and 2015Q3 using ICD-9 diagnosis and procedure codes. Polygenic scores derived from genetic data have been proposed in clinical care, but how polygenic scores perform in American Indian individuals and whether they can predict disease risk in this population remains unknown.

Surgical options for relapsed clubfoot include repeat heel cord lengthening or posterior release for recurrent equinus, and anterior tibialis tendon transfer (ATT) for residual dynamic supination deformity. Some studies have suggested that these procedures be performed in isolation to allow for early range of motion after intra-articular surgery. Methods: This cross-sectional study used CAPNET, a multicenter child physical abuse network, to identify children below 2 years with a skull fracture(s) and intracranial injury limited to an underlying small focal intracranial hemorrhage undergoing subspeciality child abuse evaluations. Our outcomes of interest were (1) the performance of a retinal examination, (2) the identification of retinal hemorrhages, and (3) associations of clinical factors and CAPNET site with the performance of retinal examinations.

Can empirical research guide clinicians in how to conduct effective couple therapy? While we know that couple therapy works, understanding the mechanisms of action-how and why it works-has been the focus of research for several decades. Using Doss's framework for understanding the key components of the change process-therapy change processes, client change processes, mediators, and outcomes-we reviewed 48 quantitative couple therapy process studies over a 40-year period. The results reveal a fragmented knowledge base.
