Existing research on Latino cultural factors mainly focuses on gender and nationality, often overlooking sexual orientation and giving limited attention to the experiences of Latino sexual minority men in the United States of America (USA). This study addressed this gap by exploring how sexual minority men identify, describe and experience Latino cultural factors. Between April and December 2019, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 28 men (ages 18-40, 43% non-US-born) in the greater Miami, Florida area to explore their engagement in HIV prevention and behavioural health services.

MYC deregulation occurs in the majority of multiple myeloma cases and is associated with progression and worse prognosis. Enhanced MYC expression occurs in about 70% of patients with multiple myeloma, but it is known to be driven by translocation or amplification events in only ∼40% of myelomas. Gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (GBMSM) account for the highest proportion of HIV diagnoses in the United States, with daily pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) significantly reducing transmission risk. Since 2021, the Affordable Care Act rules have required PrEP and accompanying care visits to be free for most Americans; nevertheless, insurers have found ways to circumvent no-cost PrEP and some employers are receiving exemptions from including it in their formularies. Despite this, perceived costs and indirect expenses still hinder PrEP adoption.
