The advancement of optoelectronic applications relies heavily on the development of high-performance photodetectors that are self-driven and capable of detecting a wide range of wavelengths. CsPbI nanorods (NRs), known for their outstanding optical and electrical properties, offer direct bandgap characteristics, high absorption coefficients, and long carrier diffusion lengths. However, challenges such as stability and limited photoluminescence quantum yield have impeded their widespread application.

Glass microfluidic chips are suitable for coupling with mass spectrometry (MS) due to their flexible design, optical transparency and resistance to organic reagents. However, due to the high hardness and brittleness of glass, there is a lack of simple and feasible technology to manufacture a monolithic nanospray ionization (nESI) emitter on a glass microchip, which hinders its coupling with mass spectrometry. Here, a continuous fluid-assisted etching strategy is proposed to fabricate monolithic three-dimensional (3D) nESI emitters integrated into glass microchips.

New strategic chromophores with updated fine-tuning of previously reported BLD1 and BLD3 chromophores were designed. BLD1 and BLD3 have silicon functional groups on the donor unit, and the bridge has a good chance of self-assembling, so in the present study we fine-tuned the isolating groups to the bulky cyclic alkene to improve their dipole moment and organic electro-optic (OEO) properties as well. To demonstrate the impact of cyclic alkenes on the electron-donating groups in sensible NLO chromophore designs, a thorough analysis and comparison of the chromophore synthesis, UV-Vis calculations, solvatochromic behavior of the chromophore, DFT quantum mechanical calculations, thermal stabilities, and much lower dipole moments was conducted.

Headache is a common clinical complication of ischemic stroke. As a precursor of stroke, headache occurs repeatedly in the convalescent period of ischemic stroke, leading to secondary stroke and seriously hindering patients' rehabilitation. Currently, it is believed that the pathogenesis of ischemic stroke-related headache is associated with the abnormal release of vasoactive substances, high platelet aggregation, and stimulation of intracranial pain-sensitive structures.

Chinese medicinal resources are the material basis for the survival and development of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)and the sustainable development of Chinese medicinal resources is also an important project for the modernization of TCM in China. With the increasing demand for Chinese medicinal resources in China, over-exploitation has destroyed Chinese medicinal resources, resulting in a shortage of many natural medicinal resources in China and making the sustainable development of TCM in trouble. The introduced new foreign medicinal resources have become effective supplement and replacement for Chinese medicinal resources to some extent.

Visible-light-active 3D-TNAs@Ti-MOFs composite electrodes were fabricated by decorating nanoscaled Ti-based metal-organic frameworks on three-dimensional TiO nanotube arrays (3D-TNAs) prepared by a facile solvothermal method. The photoelectrocatalytic performance of electrode materials was evaluated by degradation of tetracycline (TC) under visible light irradiation. The experiment results show that Ti-MOFs nanoparticles are highly distributed on the top and side walls of TiO nanotubes.

Intact living-cell electrolaunching ionization mass spectrometry for single-cell metabolomics.

Chem Sci

Department of Chemistry and Biology, Center of Excellence for Environmental Safety and Biological Effects, Beijing Key Laboratory for Green Catalysis and Separation, Beijing University of Technology Beijing 100124 P. R. China

While single-cell mass spectrometry can reveal cellular heterogeneity and the molecular mechanisms of intracellular biochemical reactions, its application is limited by the insufficient detection sensitivity resulting from matrix interference and sample dilution. Herein, we propose an intact living-cell electrolaunching ionization mass spectrometry (ILCEI-MS) method. A capillary emitter with a narrow-bore, constant-inner-diameter ensures that the entire living cell enters the MS ion-transfer tube.

Upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs) are a class of optical nanocrystals doped with lanthanide ions that offer great promise for applications in controllable tumor therapy. In recent years, UCNPs have become an important tool for studying the treatment of various malignant and nonmalignant cutaneous diseases. UCNPs convert near-infrared (NIR) radiation into shorter-wavelength visible and ultraviolet (UV) radiation, which is much better than conventional UV activated tumor therapy as strong UV-light can be damaging to healthy surrounding tissue.

Real-time monitoring of drug release behaviors over extended periods of time is critical in understanding the dynamics of drug progression for personalized chemotherapeutic treatment. In this work, we report a metal-organic framework (MOF)-based nanotheranostic system encapsulated with photothermal agents (CuS) and therapeutic drug (DOX) to achieve the capabilities of real-time drug release monitoring and combined chemo-photothermal therapy. Meanwhile, folic acid-conjugated polyethylene glycol (FA-PEG) antennas were connected to the MOF through coordination interactions, endowing the MOF with an enhanced active targeting effect toward cancer cells.

In this study, we studied the solubility and permeability of matrine, oxymatrine, sophoridine, and oxysophocarpine, four alkaloids in the Mongolian herbal medicine Sophorae Flavescentis Radix, and evaluated the absorption mechanism with the Caco-2 cell model, so as to provide a basis for the new drug development and efficacy evaluation of Sophorae Flavescentis Radix. The results showed that all the four alkaloids had high solubility and high permeability and can be well absorbed, belonging to the class-I drugs of Biopharmaceutical Classification System(BCS). The absorption(AP→BL) and excretion(BL→AP) of matrine and oxymatrine were not affected by the concentration while the absorption depended on P-gp protein.
