The catalytic performance of a catalyst is significantly influenced by its ability to activate hydrogen. Constructing frustrated Lewis pairs (FLPs) with the capacity for hydrogen dissociation on non-reducible supports remains a formidable challenge. Herein, we employed a straightforward method to synthesize a layered AlOOH featuring abundant OH defects suitable for constructing solid surface frustrated Lewis pair (ssFLP).

Plasmonic nanocavities exhibit exceptional capabilities in visualizing the internal structure of a single molecule at sub-nanometer resolution. Among these, an easily manufacturable nanoparticle-on-mirror (NPoM) nanocavity is a successful and powerful platform for demonstrating various optical phenomena. Exciting advances in surface-enhanced spectroscopy using NPoM nanocavities have been developed and explored, including enhanced Raman, fluorescence, phosphorescence, upconversion, This perspective emphasizes the construction of NPoM nanocavities and their applications in achieving higher enhancement capabilities or spatial resolution in dark-field scattering spectroscopy and plasmon-enhanced spectroscopy.

An efficient fluorescence-enhanced probe was developed for detecting cyanide ions (CN) based on a tetraphenylethene coordinated copper-iodide complex (named CIT-Z). The coordination polymers (CPs) prepared were ()-1,2-diphenyl-1,2-bis[4-(pyridin-3-ylmethoxy)phenyl]ethene () and a CuI cluster, where the tetraphenylethylene (TPE) pyridine derivatives acted as organic ligands and the CuI cluster acted as a metal center. The higher-dimensional CIT-Z exhibited a 3-fold-interpenetrating network structure with excellent optical properties and chemical stability.

This paper presents an easy and intact process based on microfluidics static droplet array (SDA) technology to fabricate quantum dot (QD) arrays for full-color micro-LED displays. A minimal sub-pixel size of 20 μm was achieved, and the fluorescence-converted red and green arrays provide good light uniformity of 98.58% and 98.

Sensing temperature () has gained great attention since is the most important parameter in daily life, scientific research and industry. A ratiometric fluorescence sensor is fabricated by doping MAPbBr perovskite nanocrystals (PNCs) and rhodamine B (RhB) into a polyacrylonitrile (PAN) matrix and the composite materials are electrospun into optical fibers. The fibers show characteristic emissions at 521 and 587 nm under UV irradiation ( = 365 nm).

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have emerged as alternative OER catalysts due to their easy regulation, such as self-reconstruction from MOFs to metal hydroxides through alkaline hydrolysis. Herein, we demonstrate a facile strategy for the transformation of FeCo layered double hydroxide (FeCo-LDH) nanosheets into 1D spindle-shaped FeCo-MOFs for efficient OER. An optimized electrode of FeCo-MOF on a nickel foam (NF) was achieved by adjusting the addition of organic ligands and the reaction time in the hydrothermal reaction.

In dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs), the TiO/dye interface significantly affects photovoltaic performance. However, the adsorption and photoinduced behavior of dye molecules on the TiO substrate remains unclear. Herein, shell-isolated nanoparticle-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SHINERS) was used to study the adsorption and photoinduced behavior of dye (N719) molecules on different TiO() surfaces.

Many polymer dot (Pdot)-based assays involve complicated modifications for target recognition and detection. In this work, the fluorescence quenching of Pdots based on electrostatic attraction-induced aggregation was proposed for the first time. It was demonstrated that the prepared Pdots were negatively charged and electron-rich (e-Pdots), while protonated melamine was positively charged and electron-withdrawing.

Membrane separation technologies have great promising potential for applications in several industries. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), for their large surface areas, low framework densities, transition-metal ions in the skeleton and high pore volumes relative to other porous matrices, have great potential for the removal of sulfur from gasoline with high efficiency. In the present study, a novel porous membrane adsorbent MIL-101(Cr)/SA was prepared by immobilizing MIL-101(Cr) onto sodium alginate (SA) matrix, which can combine the size/shape selectivity of MIL-101(Cr) with the processability and mechanical stability of SA polymer.
