Whole natal cleft excision and flap : an alternative surgical method in extensive sacrococcygeal pilonidal sinus disease.

Background: Pilonidal sinus disease (PSD) is a benign disease caused by hair follicles in sacrococcygeal -region. Despite the use of different methods in treatment, there is no consensus reached for treatment modalities. In this study, we used a whole natal cleft excision and flap (WNCEF) method to remove the natal cleft in cases of extensive sacrococcygeal PSD.
