Background: The effect of pharmacological treatment of gastric cancer (GC) is limited, thus, it holds significant scientific importance to thoroughly investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying GC development and identify novel molecules capable of substantially extending patients' survival. This study utilized bioinformatics techniques to identify 11 genes associated with recurrence-free survival (RFS) in GC patients and investigated the potential biological functions of these genes through single-cell transcriptomic analysis. Subsequently, a single gene Cystatin A (CSTA) was selected for further analysis to explore its impact on signaling pathways and treatment.

TRPA1 is pivotal in cold hypersensitivity, but its regulatory mechanisms in inflammatory cold hyperalgesia remain poorly understood. We show here that the upregulation of SUMO1-conjugated protein levels in a complete Freund's adjuvant (CFA)-induced inflammatory pain model enhances TRPA1 mRNA stability, ultimately leading to increased expression levels. We further demonstrate that hnRNPA1 binds to TRPA1 mRNA, and its SUMOylation, upregulated in CFA-induced inflammatory pain, contributes to stabilizing TRPA1 mRNA by accumulating hnRNPA1 in the cytoplasm.

We aimed to explore the expression of IL-11 in ischemic stroke patients and its correlation with rehabilitation training and prognosis. The present randomized control study recruited ischemic stroke patients who were admitted during March 2014 to November 2020. All patients underwent computer tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examination.

To measure interleukin (IL)-17 serum levels in thoracic trauma patients and to correlate these levels with other cytokines and with patient prognosis. Methods: This prospective observational study recruited 130 thoracic trauma patients who were admitted to the Zhoupu Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Medical College of Health June 2020 to April 2022 and 100 healthy volunteers. Patients were divided into two groups based on Injury Severity Score (ISS): ISS<16 (mild/moderate trauma) and ISS ≥16 (severe trauma).

Background: Patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) have been observed to benefit from tiotropium bromide. However, there are few studies of tiotropium bromide on sputum and sputum viscosity. To evaluate the effect of tiotropium bromide on mucus hypersecretion, a randomized, double-blind controlled trial was performed.

Neuropathic pain is one of the important challenges in the clinic. Although a lot of research has been done on neuropathic pain (NP), the molecular mechanism is still elusive. We aimed to investigate whether the Wnt/-catenin pathway was involved in NP caused by sustaining dorsal root ganglion (DRG) compression with the chronic compression of dorsal root ganglion model (CCD).

Lymphocytes play an important role in the immune response after stroke. However, our knowledge of the circulating lymphocytes in ischemic stroke is limited. Herein, we collected the blood samples of clinical ischemic stroke patients to detect the change of lymphocytes from admission to 3 months after ischemic stroke by flow cytometry.

Objective: To investigate the effects of exosomes of mouse astrocytes on the viability of neural stem cells.
Methods: Cultured and isolated the mouse astrocytes, and collected the cell supernatant for obtain the exosomes by ultracentrifugation. Neural stem cells that primary cultured for 2 to 6 generation were obtained and treated with medium contained 0, 20, 40, 60 μg/mL of exosomes respectively.

Exosomes derived from the cerebral endothelial cells play essential roles in protecting neurons from hypoxia injury, but little is known regarding the biological effects and mechanisms of exosomes on brain plasticity. In this study, exosomes were isolated from rodent cerebral endothelial cells (bEnd.3 cells) by ultracentrifugation, either endothelial cell-derived exosomes (EC-Exo) or PBS was injected intraventricularly 2 h after the middle cerebral artery occlusion/reperfusion (MCAO/R) model surgery in the Exo group and control group, respectively.

Vascular endothelial cells were activated during acute ischemic brain injury, which could induce neural progenitor cell proliferation and migration. However, the mechanism was still unknown. In the current study, we explored whether vascular endothelial cells promoted neural progenitor cell proliferation and whether migration occurs via exosome communication.
