Introduction: Patients with liver cancer are susceptible to experiencing a decline in muscle mass and function, which can lead to physical frailty and have a negative impact on prognosis. However, there is currently a lack of physical activity interventions specifically tailored for these patients. Therefore, we have developed a modular multimodal hospital-home chain physical activity rehabilitation programme (3M2H-PARP) designed specifically for patients with liver cancer undergoing transarterial chemoembolisation (TACE).

Sex differences in mortality and liver-related events in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

Background & Aims: Many systematic reviews explore the association of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) with mortality, but none of them explores sex-based differences in detail. We aimed to assess whether NAFLD is associated with cause-specific mortality, all-cause mortality, and cancer incidence in both men and women.

Methods: The PubMed, Embase, and Medline databases were searched from inception through April 2023 for eligible studies.

To date, no studies have specifically examined the efficacy of P2Y12 inhibitor monotherapy in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) exhibiting a high risk of gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding following percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). This was a retrospective cohort study of ACS exhibiting a high GI bleeding risk after PCI admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of the Jiangnan University from August 2016 to December 2019. Of the 308 enrolled patients, 269 were found eligible and were assigned to the ticagrelor monotherapy (TIC) arm (n = 128) and to ticagrelor plus aspirin (TIC + ASP) arm (n = 141) treatment for a 1-year period.

Background: Corheart 6 (Corheart) is a newly developed magnetically levitated continuous-flow left ventricular assist device currently undergoing multicenter clinical trials in China. Featuring a small size, minimal weight, and low power consumption, the Corheart aims to improve pump hemocompatibility, reduce adverse events, and enhance the quality of life of heart failure patients.

Methods: Computational simulations assessed flow field, shear stress, and washout, while in vitro and in vivo experiments were performed to further demonstrate hemocompatibility.

This article discusses the clinical value of Pegylated Interferon (PEG-IFN) -2a combined with entecavir or tenofovir in the treatment of Chronic Hepatitis B (CHB) genotype C patients. 78 patients with CHB genotype C were divided into three groups: control group, entecavir group, and tenofovir group according to different treatment methods. The efficacy and adverse reaction (AR) of the three groups are observed during 12 months of treatment and after drug withdrawal, and the clinical efficacy and safety of the three treatment methods are evaluated.
