Introduction: Cavernous hemangioma is a venous malformation that occurs throughout the entire body but is rarely localized in internal jugular vein, to the best of our knowledge our case is the first case reported in the literature.
Case Report: We report a case of internal jugular vein cavernous hemangioma in a 62-year-old woman and review the literature concerning the clinical features, radiological appearance, histopathological findings and treatment options.
Discussion: Internal jugular vein cavernous hemangioma, is a very rare tumor composed of large dilated blood vessels and containing large blood-filled spaces.

In this work we used the InterDosi code to estimate photon specific absorbed fractions (SAFs) for some organs of the Zubal adult male voxelized phantom. Chemical compositions and densities of ICRP 110 adult male organs were attributed to those of the studied voxelized phantom. The SAFs of monoenergetic photons with energies ranging from 0.

Unlike visceral, lymphonodal or bone metastases, skin metastases are rare and their identification portends of a bad prognosis. They may appear as the first sign revealing the primary tumour, synchronous or developing late in the course of neglected primary cancer. We report a case of 86 year-old women witch belongs to this rare group of patients in whom cutaneous metastasis were identified before the primary cancer.

Background And Aims: Several studies have shown that genetic polymorphisms of the transcription factor 7-like 2 (TCF7L2) are highly associated with the development of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and its associated complications in several populations. The aim of our study was to investigate the association of the rs7903146 (C/T) and rs12255372 (G/T) polymorphism in the TCF7L2 gene with the risk of developing T2DM in the Moroccan population.
Material And Methods: A total of 150 T2DM patients and 100 healthy controls were recruited for various anthropometric, biochemical and genetic parameters.

We report the nearly complete genome sequence and the genetic variations of a clinical sample of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) collected from a nasopharyngeal swab specimen from a male patient from Harhoura-Rabat, Morocco. The sequence, which was obtained using Ion Torrent technology, is valuable as it carries a recently described deletion (His69-Val70) and substitution (Asn439Lys).

Muscular metastases (MMs) form an infrequent entity, and their physiopathology is still not well-defined. In this study, we estimated the incidence of MMs that were detected by F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography and also specified their metabolic characteristics. This study includes 13 patients with MMs from a remotely located primary tumor.

The coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) is a highly contagious and rapidly spreading infection caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). In some cases, the disease can be fatal which resulted in more than one million deaths worldwide according the WHO. Currently, there is no effective vaccine or treatment for COVID-19, however many small-molecule inhibitors have shown potent antiviral activity against SARS-CoV-2 and some of them are now under clinical trials.

In late December 2019, an emerging viral infection COVID-19 was identified in Wuhan, China, and became a global pandemic. Characterization of the genetic variants of SARS-CoV-2 is crucial in following and evaluating it spread across countries. In this study, we collected and analyzed 3,067 SARS-CoV-2 genomes isolated from 55 countries during the first three months after the onset of this virus.

The global burden of infections and the rapid spread of viral diseases show the need for new approaches in the prevention and development of effective therapies. To this end, we aimed to explore novel inhibitor compounds that can stop replication or decrease the viral load of the novel severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), for which there is currently no approved treatment. Besides using the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE2) receptor as a main gate, the CoV-2 can bind to the glucose-regulating protein 78 (GRP78) receptor to get into the cells to start an infection.
