Background: Major hepatectomy in perihilar cholangiocarcinoma (pCCA) patients with a small future liver remnant (FLR) risks posthepatectomy liver failure (PHLF). This study examines combined portal and hepatic vein embolisation (PVE/HVE) to increase preoperative FLR volume and potentially decrease PHLF rates.
Methods: In this retrospective, multicentre, observational study, data was collected from centres affiliated with the DRAGON Trials Collaborative and the EuroLVD registry.

Since first described, Associating Liver Partition and Portal Vein Ligation for Staged Hepatectomy (ALPPS) has garnered boisterous praise and fervent criticism. Its rapid adoption and employment for a variety of indications resulted in high perioperative morbidity and mortality. However recent risk stratification, refinement of technique to reduce the impact of stage I and progression along the learning curve have resulted in improved outcomes.

Objective: Evidence regarding the efficacy of mindfulness-based interventions (MBIs) is increasing exponentially; however, there are still challenges to their integration in healthcare systems. Our goal is to provide a conceptual framework that addresses these challenges in order to bring about scholarly dialog and support health managers and practitioners with the implementation of MBIs in healthcare.
Method: This is an opinative narrative review based on theoretical and empirical data that address key issues in the implementation of mindfulness in healthcare systems, such as the training of professionals, funding and costs of interventions, cost effectiveness and innovative delivery models.

Objective: To examine some of the psychometric properties of the Spanish version of the FibroFatigue Scale (FFS).
Methods: FFS was administered to 120 patients diagnosed with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. Internal consistency was evaluated by using Cronbach's alpha, test-retest reliability with weighted kappa and construct validity by correlations among FFS, the Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire (FIQ), the EuroQol 5D (EQ-5D) and the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS).
Objective: To assess the performance of the Spanish version of a new screening tool (the SCOFF) for the detection of eating disorders (EDs) in primary care.
Design: validation study. The psychiatric interview Schedules for Clinical Assessment in Neuropsychiatry (SCAN) was used as the "gold standard.
Objective: There are no previous studies using single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) scans in somatization disorder (SD) patients. The aim of this paper is to assess SPECT imaging abnormalities in SD patients and study any relation to laterality.
Method: Eleven SD patients from the Somatization Disorder Unit of Miguel Servet University Hospital, Zaragoza, Spain, not fulfilling criteria for any other psychiatric disorder and showing normal computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) images were studied with SPECT.
