Introduction: Patients who sustain tibial shaft fractures are at risk for delayed recognition of complications with inadequate postoperative follow-up. Area Deprivation Index (ADI) is a surrogate which may be used to analyze the effects of socioeconomic deprivation on postoperative follow-up rates. Background: Prior studies evaluating observation versus angioembolization (AE) for blunt liver injuries (BLT) with contrast extravasation (CE) on computed tomography imaging have yielded inconsistent conclusions, primarily due to limitations in single-center and/or retrospective study design. Therefore, this multicenter study aims to compare an observation versus AE-first approach for BLT, hypothesizing decreased liver-related complications (LRCs) with observation.

Objective: To compare differences in postpartum blood pressure (BP) control (BP below 140/90 mm Hg) for participants with hypertension randomized to receive antihypertensive treatment compared with no treatment during pregnancy.
Methods: This study was a planned secondary analysis of a multicenter, open-label, randomized controlled trial (The CHAP [Chronic Hypertension and Pregnancy] trial). Pregnant participants with mild chronic hypertension (BP below 160/105 mm Hg) were randomized into two groups: active (antihypertensive treatment) or control (no treatment unless severe hypertension, BP 160/105 mm Hg or higher).

Objective: Determine if knowledge of a third-trimester ultrasound diagnosis of large for gestational age (LGA) independently increases the risk of cesarean delivery (CD).
Study Design: Historical cohort comparing CD rate among patients diagnosed with an LGA fetus on a clinically indicated ultrasound from January 2017 to July 2021 with those without an LGA diagnosis at 34 weeks or later. LGA was defined as an ultrasound-estimated fetal weight greater than or equal to the 90th percentile for the gestational age.

We present a 22-year-old man who noted a week of cough followed by myalgias, dark-colored urine, and decreased oral intake. Both leads utilize silicone insulation and a polyurethane outer coating. The inner coil is shielded with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) tubing, while other conductors are enveloped in ethylene tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE), contributing to the structural integrity and functionality of these leads.
