Treatment of intestinal pseudo obstruction by segmental resection.

Intestinal pseudo-obstruction refractory to medical therapy is a debilitating problem for specialists dealing with gastrointestinal disorders. We report the case of a newborn who developed severe, recurrent symptoms of intestinal obstruction, due to visceral myopathy. The case was persistently intractable to medical management, leading to repeated laparotomies.
