In the current study it was aimed to evaluate the findings of cornea in Dry Eye related Meibomian Gland Dysfunction through in vivo confocal microscopy. 30 patients of Dry Eye related Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (DEMGD) and 30 healty individuals were included. 46 eyes of 30 DEMGD patients (group 1) and 46 eyes of 30 healthy individuals (group 2) were formed as control group and images were captured from the centre of the cornea.

Results of tadalafil treatment in patients following an open nerve-sparing radical prostatectomy.

Purpose: To evaluate the effect of postoperatively administering a low daily dose of tadalafil on the erectile function of patients who underwent a nerve-sparing radical prostatectomy (NSRP) due to localized prostate cancer (PCa).

Materials And Methods: Of 138 patients, who underwent NSRP due to PCa between 2012 and 2014, 55 patients who had not had pre-operative erectile dysfunction (ED) were included in the study. The mean age of the patients was 64 (54-72).

Comparison of open reduction alone and open reduction plus Dega osteotomy in developmental dysplasia of the hip.

In the treatment of developmental dysplasia of the hip, concentric reduction of the femoral head into the acetabular cavity plays a key role in the natural development of the acetabulum. However, there is still debate on the need for additional acetabular osteotomies and their timing. In this study, we compared open reduction (OR) alone with OR plus Dega osteotomy for acetabular index (AI) development.

Bilateral synchronous ossifying fibromas of the mandible: a case report.

Ossifying fibroma of the jaw is a benign fibroosseous tumour. The growth of it is slowly and it is well circumscribed. Occurrence of multiple ossifying fibromas (synchronous) is rare in the jaw, and only a few cases have been documented.

Surgical removal of guidewire entrapped within stent struts during percutaneous coronary angioplasty.

There has been a growing trend toward percutaneous coronary angioplasty for complex coronary artery lesions. Stent or guidewire break off or trapping within the coronary artery lumen is a rare complication, but it may have fatal consequences. In such cases, the entrapped device may be removed by either percutaneous route or surgical exploration.

Background: In patients presenting with non-ST elevation myocardial infarction, we investigated the relationship of left atrial deformational parameters evaluated by 2-dimensional speckle tracking imaging (2D-STI) with conventional echocardiographic diastolic dysfunction parameters and brain natriuretic peptide level.

Material And Methods: We enrolled 74 non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction patients who were treated with percutaneous coronary intervention and 58 healthy control subjects. Non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction patients had echocardiographic examination 48 h after the percutaneous coronary intervention procedure and venous blood samples were drawn simultaneously.

Determination of correlation among heart rate variability, left atrium global strain, and nighttime blood pressure among patients with tinnitus.

Background: We aimed to examine the correlation among nighttime blood pressure, heart rate variability, and left atrium peak systolic global longitudinal strain among patients with subjective tinnitus.

Material And Methods: Eighty patients with tinnitus were assigned to Group 1 and 80 healthy individuals were assigned to Group 2. Clinical blood pressure measurements, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and Holter electrocardiography monitoring were performed.

Purpose: To map the thickness of the entire cornea using dual-Scheimpflug imaging and to evaluate the changes in the corneal thickness over the entire cornea at different stages of keratoconus.

Methods: Corneal pachymetry was performed using the Galilei dual-Scheimpflug analyzer. The thinnest (TCT), central (CCT), paracentral (PaCT), and peripheral corneal thicknesses (PeCT) were also analyzed.

The increasing emergence of multi-drug resistant Acinetobacter baumannii strains as nosocomial pathogens lead to the use of antimicrobial combinations in the treatment of infections due to these bacteria. The aim of this study was to determine the MIC values of colistin and ampicillin/sulbactam and their in vitro synergistic activities by E-test in order to evaluate the effect of this combination against imipenem-resistant A.baumannii isolates.

Background And Objective: To compare the central corneal thickness (CCT) measurements by Galilei Dual-Scheimpflug analyzer (GSA) (Ziemer Group, Port, Switzerland) and ultrasound pachymeter (UP) in myopic eyes.

Patients And Methods: In this prospective study, CCT of 161 myopic eyes of 81 refractive surgery candidates (35 female, 46 male; mean age: 23.18 ± 4.
