Purpose: The objective of this study was to explore the performance of a predictive model for swallowing-induced breakthrough pain established using a redefined delineation method based on the common occurrence sites of radiation-induced oral mucositis (RIOM) in locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC).

Methods And Materials: A total of 208 patients with locally advanced NPC were included in the study cohort, and the test cohort consisted of 88 patients. The oral mucosa structure was contoured using oral cavity contour (OCC), mucosal surface contour (MSC), and oral-pharyngeal mucosa (OPM) methods, and relevant dosimetric parameters were collected.

To investigate the effect of a novel coumarin derivative, ethyl 2,2-difluoro-2 - (2-oxo-2H-chromen-3-yl) acetate (C2F), on the malignant biological behaviors of colorectal cancer (CRC) and elucidate its mechanism. In vitro, the effects of C2F on the proliferation, apoptosis, migration, invasion, and cell cycle of CRC cells were analyzed by MTT assay, EdU stainning, colony formation assay, flow cytometry, wound healing and transwell assay. The pathophysiological distinctions between osteoarthritis (OA) and diabetic osteoarthritis (DOA) are critical yet not well delineated. In this study, we employed single-cell RNA sequencing to clarify the unique cellular and molecular mechanisms underpinning the progression of both conditions. Here we investigated the efficacy and safety of cadonilimab (PD-1/cytotoxic T lymphocyte antigen-4 (CTLA-4) bispecific antibody) plus chemotherapy as first-line treatment in G/GEJ adenocarcinoma. Palmoplantar hyperhidrosis is a functional disease with an unknown pathogenesis, making it challenging to find a lasting and effective treatment. This article reports a case of a 43-year-old patient with palmoplantar hyperhidrosis treated with computed tomography (CT)-guided radiofrequency neurotomy (RFN) of bilateral T3-4 sympathetic chain combined with bilateral L3 sympathetic ganglion.
