Background: One of the most commonly experienced symptoms of premenstrual disorder (PMD) is anxiety, and there is a notable rise in sympathomimetic activity in this patient group. Studies have linked fluctuations in systemic autonomic tone to electrocardiography (ECG) changes. This study aims to investigate the relationship between anxiety, a common symptom of PMD, and alterations in QT dispersion (QTd) and P-wave dispersion (Pd) in adolescent females.

Background: Immune checkpoint inhibitors improve the efficacy of first-line chemotherapy for patients with programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1)-positive unresectable locally advanced/metastatic triple-negative breast cancer (aTNBC), but randomised data in rapidly relapsing aTNBC are scarce.
Patients And Methods: IMpassion132 (NCT03371017) enrolled patients with aTNBC relapsing <12 months after last chemotherapy dose (anthracycline and taxane required) or surgery for early TNBC. PD-L1 status was centrally assessed using SP142 before randomisation.

Introduction: Male breast cancer, comprising approximately 1% of all breast cancer cases, often leads to the exclusion of male patients as a criterion in clinical trials. While the efficacy of Cyclin-dependent kinases 4 and 6 (CDK 4/6) inhibitors has been established in metastatic hormone receptor-positive (HR +) and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative (HER2 -) breast cancer in women, limited data exist on their effectiveness in male patients. We aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of palbociclib or ribociclib in male patients with breast cancer.

Background: During the COVID pandemic, research has shown an increase in candidemia cases following severe COVID infection and the identification of risk factors associated with candidemia. However, there is a lack of studies that specifically explore clinical outcomes and mortality rates related to candidemia after COVID infection.
Objectives: The aim of this international study was to evaluate the clinical outcomes and identify factors influencing mortality in patients who developed candidemia during their COVID infection.

Introduction: Asparaginase is an indispensable drug in treating childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Hypersensitivity reactions (HSR) are the most common side effects and interfere with the antineoplastic activity of the drug. This study aims to compare the intramuscular (IM) and intravenous (IV) administration routes of Native Escherichia coli Lasparaginase (L-ASNase) in terms of hypersensitive reactions.

Coronary artery involvement is quite rare in the course of Behçet's disease. Complications secondary to coronary artery aneurysms, including rupture, dissection, and myocardial ischemia, may be fatal. In young patients without cardiovascular risk factors, systemic inflammatory vasculitis syndromes should be investigated in case of acute coronary syndrome secondary to dilated coronary arteries.

Background: Various cell-free scaffolds are already in use for the treatment of osteochondral defects (OCDs); however, a gold standard material has not yet been defined.
Purpose: This study compared the macroscopic, histological, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) characteristics of Chondro-Gide (CG), MaioRegen (MA), and poly-d,l-lactide-co-caprolactone (PLCL) cell-free scaffolds enhanced with small-diameter microfractures (SDMs) for OCDs in a rabbit model.
Study Design: Controlled laboratory study.

Introduction: Although many patients are being treated by radical prostatectomy (RP), there is still insufficient information about the changes in long-term erectile function after RP. Our aim is to examine long term, up to 5 year erectile function status of patients after Radical Perineal Prostatectomy (RPP).
Materials And Methods: One hundred and thirty-two patients, who underwent bilateral nerve-sparing Radical Perineal Prostatectomy (RPP) in between January 2012 and January 2017, with preoperative age≤70, prostate volume<80g, transrectal ultrasound (TRUS) guided biopsy Gleason score (GS)<7, prostate specific antigen (PSA) value<10ng/mL, and cT stage≤2 (N0, M0) were included into this study.

Background: Repeat cesarean deliveries (CDs) pose a risk in the development of intra-abdominal adhesions.
Aim: We aimed to examine the incidence and severity of adhesions in repeat CDs using a specific scoring system and assess the predictive power of the pre-operative value of transforming growth factor (TGF)-β and interleukin (IL)-6 with selected peripheral inflammatory biomarkers (PIBs) in the prediction of adhesion formation.
Methods: This prospective study enrolled 91 pregnant women at term, who had previously undergone at least one or more scheduled CDs.

Atrial septal defect (ASD) is a common congenital heart disease with left-to-right shunt that may lead to pulmonary hypertension over time. Secundum ASD closure with transcatheter technique is currently the preferred method. The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical experience and early-term outcomes of patients treated with a MemoPart ASD occluder device between June 2013 and June 2019.

Background: Biallelic loss-of-function mutations in CARMIL2 cause combined immunodeficiency associated with dermatitis, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and EBV-related smooth muscle tumors. Clinical and immunological characterizations of the disease with long-term follow-up and treatment options have not been previously reported in large cohorts. We sought to determine the clinical and immunological features of CARMIL2 deficiency and long-term efficacy of treatment in controlling different disease manifestations.

Published data on the correlations of bronchoscopy findings with microbiological, radiological, and pulmonary function test results in children with noncystic fibrosis (CF) bronchiectasis (BE) are unavailable. The aims of this study were to evaluate relationships between Bronchoscopic appearance and secretion scoring, microbiological growth, radiological severity level, and pulmonary function tests in patients with non-CF BE. Children with non-CF BE were identified and collected over a 6-year period.

Although most of aortopulmonary window cases are closed surgically, percutaneous closure can be also used in suitable patients. Defects which are far from the pulmonary and aortic valves, coronary artery, and pulmonary artery bifurcation, with adequate septal rims are considered suitable for percutaneous closure. A three-month-old male infant weighing 4 kg was referred to our pediatric cardiology department with the complaints of fatigue while breastfeeding, difficulty in weight gain, heart murmur, and respiratory distress.

Purpose: Idiopathic granulomatous mastitis (IGM) is a benign inflammatory breast disease that can clinically mimic breast carcinoma (BC). The aim of this study was to compare the endocan levels between inflammatory and neoplastic diseases of the breast, and to determine whether endocan is a convenient diagnostic biomarker for early stage BC and for the differentiation from IGM.
Material And Methods: A total of 65 patients, consisting of 35 newly diagnosed with BC and 30 with IGM proven by core biopsies, and 20 healthy volunteer women with similar demographic characteristics were enrolled in the study.
