Decellularized extracellular matrix (dECM) hydrogels are being increasingly investigated for use in bio-inks for three-dimensional cell printing given their good cytocompatibility and biomimetic properties. The osmotic pressure and stiffness of bio-ink are important factors affecting the biological functions of printed cells. However, little attention has been given to the osmotic pressure and stiffness of the dECM bio-inks.

Objective: To make a retrospective analysis of the situation and process of treating skiers' injuries in the medical station of the Wanlong ski resort in Chongli and the nearest treatment hospital, and to provide a basis for the establishment and optimization of the treatment process between the medical station of the Winter Olympics ski resort and the nearest treatment hospital, and to gain experience for medical security of mass skiing.
Methods: The data of all ski injuries in Chongli District were collected from the medical station of the Wanlong ski resort during the 2018-2019 snow season (November 2018 to April 2019) and the nearest treatment hospital during two periods (March 2019, and November 2019 to January 2020). The differences of injury causes, injury types, injury sites, and treatment effects of the injured skiers were analyzed.

Background: Few studies have measured the dimensions of intercondylar notch under direct arthroscopic visualization. The purpose of our study was to analyse the association between time from anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury to reconstruction and the morphological changes of intercondylar notch using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and arthroscopy.
Methods: Data was collected for patients who received knee arthroscopic surgery during 2014-2015.

Purpose: To investigate the kinematics differences between round-tunnel (ROT) and flat-tunnel (FLT) techniques in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction when using hamstring graft.
Methods: Nine matched pairs of fresh-frozen cadaveric knees were evaluated for the kinematics of intact, ACL-sectioned, and either ROT or FLT reconstructed knees. The graft bundles for FLT technique were separately tensioned.

Background/aim: Diffuse-type tenosynovial giant cell tumor (TGCT) is a rare benign proliferative synovial neoplasm of uncertain etiology, and the efficacy of surgical resection is not satisfactory. Therefore, there is an urgent need to explore the pathogenesis and identify novel therapeutic targets for TGCT.
Materials And Methods: Synovial tissues were collected from patients with TGCT and osteoarthritis (OA).

Cartilage injury of the knee joint is very common. Due to the limited self-healing ability of articular cartilage, osteoarthritis is very likely to occur if left untreated. Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMMSCs) are widely used in the study of cartilage injury due to their low immunity and good amplification ability, but they still have disadvantages, such as heterogeneous undifferentiated cells.

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a highly prevalent and debilitating joint disorder that characterized by progressive destruction of articular cartilage. There is no effective disease-modifying therapy for the condition due to limited understanding of the molecular mechanisms on cartilage maintenance and destruction. Receptor-interacting protein kinase 1 (RIP1)-mediated necroptosis plays a vital role in various diseases, but the involvement of RIP1 in OA pathogenesis remains largely unknown.

Objective: To make a retrospective analysis of the injuries of skiing population in a large ski resort in Chongli, China and provide a basis for predicting the rapidly increasing medical needs for ski injuries in the context of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
Methods: The basic data of all injured skiers who were treated in a medical station of a large ski resort in Chongli during the snow season from November 2017 to March 2018 and from November 2018 to March 2019 were collected. The number of skiers, the number of injuries, the causes of injuries, the types of injuries and the locations of injuries were compared.

Background: A well-established reference is lacking for diagnosing lateral patellar compression syndrome (LPCS), and this diagnosis currently depends on clinicians' subjective judgment and several examination results. X-rays are primarily used to diagnose LPCS, but they have low detection rates of patellar tilt using the congruence angle (CA) and patellar tilting angle (PTA).
Methods: We enrolled 87 patients (31 men and 56 women; mean age: 42.

Developing efficacious drug delivery systems for targeted cancer chemotherapy remains a major challenge. Here we demonstrated a kind of pH-responsive PEGylated doxorubicin (DOX) prodrug the effective esterification and Schiff base reactions, which could self-assemble into the biodegradable micelles in aqueous solutions. Owing to low pH values inside the tumor cells, these PEG-Schiff-DOX nanoparticles exhibited high drug loading ability and pH-responsive drug release behavior within the tumor cells or tissues upon changes in physical and chemical environments, but they displayed good stability at physiological conditions for a long period.

Background: Delayed wound healing is a potention complication after Achilles tendon suture repair and occurs for various reasons. The conventional treatment for delayed wound healing is open surgery, but patients face long recovery times and postoperative care is difficult.
Case Presentation: This report presents three patients who were seen at our institute from April 2008 to October 2017 due to long-term non-healing wounds after surgery.

Tendon-bone healing is an important factor in determining the success of ligament reconstruction. With the development of biomaterials science, the tissue engineering scaffold plays an extremely important role in tendon-bone healing and bone tissue engineering. Electronic databases (PubMed, Embase, and the Web of Science) were systematically searched for relevant and qualitative studies published from 1 January 1990 to 31 December 2019.

Direct implantation of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) for cartilage and bone tissue engineering faces challenges, such as immune rejection and loss of cellular viability or functionality. As nanoscale natural particles, exosomes or small extracellular vesicles (EVs) of MSCs have potential to circumvent these problems. It is significant to investigate the impact of the tissue origin of MSCs on the therapeutic bioactivity of their corresponding EVs for cartilage and bone regeneration.

Purpose: To evaluate reserve quadriceps function and improve knee activity in patients with severe knee extension contracture following arthroscopic-assisted mini-incision quadricepsplasty as well as post-operative complications.
Methods: From 2012 to 2019, 32 patients with severe knee extension contractures (less than 45° range of flexion) were treated with an all-arthroscopic release technique. The clinical results, including range of motion (ROM), quadriceps function (quadriceps index, QI), and knee function, were evaluated, and MRI of the healed tendon after partial quadricepsplasty was performed.

Nuclear factor of activated T cells 3 (NFATc3) has been reported to upregulate type I interferons (IFNs) expression, and the abnormal expression and activation of NFATc3 were closely related to tumorigenesis. However, the potential function of NFATc3 in hepatitis B virus (HBV)-related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains to be elucidated. In this study, we found that NFATc3 gene was frequently deleted and downregulated in HCC tumor tissues, and that the downregulation of NFATc3 was associated with poor prognosis of HCC patients.

An approach to construct a secondary asynchronous spectrum via sample-sample correlation (SASS) is proposed to analyze bilinear data from hyphenated spectroscopic experiments. In SASS, bilinear data is used to construct a series of two-dimensional (2D) sample-sample correlation spectra. Then a vertical slice is extracted from each 2D sample-sample correlation spectrum so that a secondary 2D asynchronous spectrum is constructed via these slices.

The objective of the present study was to investigate the effects of for chlorfenuron (FCF) interference with the septin protein on early stage embryos in mice. The 1‑cell embryos were collected and divided into an FCF interference group and a control group. The FCF interference group was cultured in FCF media and the control group was cultured in dimethyl sulphoxide media at 37˚C with 5% CO2 until the desired phase was achieved.
