Exposure to fine particulate matter (PM) has been reported to be adversely associated with reproductive health. However, current evidence on PM exposure adversely influencing pregnancy outcomes remains inconclusive. Women receiving assisted reproductive technology (ART) treatment are under close monitoring with regards to their treatment process, which make them great study population to assess the impact of PM in the post-implantation period.

Introduction: Exposure to ambient air pollutants is associated with an increased incidence of respiratory diseases such as pneumonia and asthma, especially in younger children. We investigated the relationship between rates of hospitalization of children aged under 5 years for pneumonia and asthma and the concentration of air pollutants in Ningbo between January 1, 2015 and August 29, 2017.
Methods: Data were obtained from the Ningbo Air Quality Data Real-time Publishing System and the big data platform of the Ningbo Health Information Center.

Grasping good understanding of the weight-bearing spatial structure of the spine of a human subject in a standing position is critical for the treatment of spinal disorders. Such disorders are commonly diagnosed via 2D X-ray imaging of the human subject in a standing position. However, 3D reconstruction techniques based on bi-planar X-ray imaging can enable better exploration and analysis of the spinal structure.

Inhibitor of differentiation 1 has a helix-loop-helix (HLH) structure, belongs to a class of molecules known as the HLH trans-acting factor family, and plays an important role in advancing the cell cycle, promoting cell proliferation and inhibiting cell differentiation. Recent studies have confirmed that inhibitor of differentiation 1 plays an important role in the endothelial-mesenchymal transition of vascular endothelial cells, angiogenesis, reendothelialization after injury, and the formation and rupture of atherosclerotic plaques. An in-depth understanding of the role of inhibitor of differentiation 1 in atherosclerosis will provide new ideas and strategies for the treatment of related diseases.

Amounting evidence suggested that long non coding RNAs (lncRNAs) played vital roles in the progression of various cancers. The aim of this study is to examine the biological roles and underlying mechanisms of lncRNA MAFG-AS1 in the tumorigenesis of breast cancer (BC) cells. Here we showed that downregulation of MAFG-AS1 inhibited the viability, migration, and invasion of BC cells.

Introduction: The incidence of hyperuricemia (HUA) at younger ages is increasing along the coastal regions of China. This study aimed to compare the frequency of dual energy CT (DECT) urate crystal deposition between symptomatic hyperuricemic children and asymptomatic hyperuricemic children.
Material And Methods: Fifty-six hyperuricemic children were divided into a Joint Group ( = 33) and an Asymptomatic Group ( = 23) according to whether they had a history of arthritis symptoms, which includes rapid onset monoarthritis with intense pain and swelling.

Background: The present study was aimed to investigate the expression levels of circular RNAs (circRNAs) in the peripheral blood of essential hypertension (EH) patients and healthy controls (HC). On this basis, we tried to explain the possible role of circRNAs in the progression of EH and their potential as diagnostic biomarkers of EH.
Methods: First, we analyzed the differentially expressed circRNAs in peripheral blood obtained from the finished microarray analysis and selected four circRNAs under strict standards.

During embryogenesis and embryo implantation, the copy number of mtDNA is elaborately regulated to meet the cellular demand for division, growth and differentiation. With large numbers of mitochondria for energy production, placental cells possess strong endocrine functionalities and capacities for efficient signaling communication. Recently, several environmental epidemiological studies have shown an association between mitochondrial DNA copy number, adverse birth outcomes and maternal exposure to air pollution, which has shed light on the possible effect of pollutants on placental molecular events.

Lung cancer is one of the most common cancers in the world. Due to the limitations of current diagnostic techniques and methods, most lung cancers are diagnosed at the advanced stage, which is not conducive to early treatment. The rise of metabolomics has provided new ideas for the early diagnosis of lung cancer.

Previous studies have suggested a change of birth weight linked with elevated ambient air pollutant concentrations during the pregnancy. However, investigations of the influence of higher pollutant levels on birth weight change are limited. The goal of this study is to evaluate whether the air pollution of Ningbo is associated with birth weight, and which trimester could be a window period for maternal exposure to air pollution.

Motivation: Genome-scale CRISPR/Cas9 system has been a democratized gene editing technique and widely used to investigate gene functions in some biological processes and diseases especially cancers. Aiming to characterize gene aberrations and assess their effects on cancer, we designed a pipeline to identify the essential genes for pan-cancer.
Methods: CRISPR screening data were used to identify the essential genes that were collected from published data and integrated by Robust Rank Aggregation algorithm.

Aims: Essential hypertension (EH) is a high prevalence disease facing a public health challenge. People were little known about the genetics of diagnosing the cause of EH. Circular RNAs that have a continuous cycle of covalent closure, without affected by RNA exonuclease, and are more stable and hard to degrade may involve into the molecule regulation mechanism of EH as an important biomedical.

: Essential hypertension is a multifactorial disease with high morbidity. The researches on the influence of genes on the disease are still in its infancy, and the mechanism of gene regulation is not clear. MiRNAs are key molecules that regulate the expression control of protein-coding or protein-non-coding RNA.

Introduction: Newly synthesized Janus-structured FeO-TiO nanoparticles (NPs) appear to be a promising candidate for the diagnosis and therapy of cancer. Although the toxicity of individual FeO or TiO NPs has been studied extensively, the toxicity of Janus FeO-TiO NPs is not clear.
Methods: In this study, the biosafety of both Janus FeO-TiO NPs (20-25 nm) and the maternal material TiO NPs (7-10 nm) were evaluated in Sprague Dawley rats after one intravenous injection into the tail vein.

Nickel (Ni) is widely used in many industrial sectors such as alloy, welding, printing inks, electrical and electronics industries. Excessive environmental or occupational exposure to Ni may result in tumor, contact dermatitis, as well as damages to the nervous system. In recent years, more and more research has demonstrated that Ni induced nerve damages are related to mitochondrial dysfunction.
