We aimed to explore whether chronic psychological stress affects the efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) immunotherapy in bladder cancer. The chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS) process was applied during the administration of anti-PD-L1 for subcutaneous tumors in mice. Tumor regression was obviously shown in anti-PD-L1 therapy groups, while this effect was notably attenuated by CUMS.

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common neurodevelopmental brain disorders in childhood. Despite extensive researches, the neurobiological mechanism underlying ADHD is still left unveiled. Since the deficit functions, such as attention, have been demonstrated in ADHD, in our present study, based on the oddball P3 task, the corresponding electroencephalogram (EEG) of both healthy controls (HCs) and ADHD children was first collected.

Background: Family genetic testing of patients newly diagnosed with a rare genetic disease can improve early diagnosis of family members, allowing patients to receive disease-specific therapies when available. Fabry disease, an X-linked lysosomal storage disorder caused by pathogenic variants in GLA, can lead to end-stage renal disease, cardiac arrhythmias, and stroke. Diagnostic delays are common due to the rarity of the disease and non-specificity of early symptoms.

Cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD) is a common disease among elderly individuals and recognized as a major cause of vascular cognitive impairment. Recent studies demonstrated that CSVD is a disconnection syndrome. However, due to the covert neurological symptoms and subtle changes in clinical performance, the connection alterations during the stage of preclinical cognitive impairment (PCI) and mild cognitive impairment (MCI) are usually neglected and still largely unknown.

The COVID-19 pandemic seriously threatens the lives of the general public and poses momentous challenges to all medical workers, including those engaged in interventional radiology, who play an important role in the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases. To further standardize the prevention and control of nosocomial infections and ensure the safety of doctors and patients, the Chinese Society of Interventional Radiology (CSIR) organized multidisciplinary experts in the field of interventional radiology in China to prepare an "Expert Consensus" elaborating and summarizing the protective strategies and suggestions for medical workers in the field of interventional radiology when they engage in interventional diagnosis and treatment activities against the background of novel coronavirus infection control. The aim is to provide a reference for interventional procedures in hospitals and other medical institutions at all levels in China and worldwide.

A modified scar model with controlled tension on secondary wound healing in mice.

Burns Trauma

May 2020

Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Ninth People's Hospital, Medical School of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, 639 Zhizaoju Road, Shanghai 200011, China.

Pathological scars might cause a distorted appearance and restricted mobility, and the study of scar pathophysiology has been hindered by the absence of a reliable model. In this study, we introduce a model with a modified device to induce controlled tension on a wound healing by secondary intention to overcome the shortcomings of the model generated by Aarabi . We investigated and recommend an induction of 0.

Background: Mutations of the ABO gene may cause the dysfunction of ABO glycosyltransferase (GT) that can result in weak ABO phenotypes. Here, we identified two novel weak ABO subgroup alleles and explored their mechanisms that caused A and B phenotypes.

Materials And Methods: The ABO phenotyping and genotyping were performed by serological studies and direct DNA sequencing of the ABO gene.

Electronic address:

A traditional immobilized pH gradient (IPG) has a high stability for isoelectric focusing (IEF) but suffers from time-consuming rehydration, focusing and staining-imaging as well as complex performance. To address these issues, an IEF system with an array of 24 IPG columns (10 mm × 600 μm × 50 μm) and dynamic scanning imaging (DSI) was firstly designed for protein focusing. Moreover, two IPG columns (pH 4-9 and pH 6.

Department of Interventional Oncology, Dahua Hospital, Xuhui District, Shanghai, PR China. Electronic address:

Paclitaxel-eluting covered metal stents (PECMSs) and metallic stents covered with a paclitaxel-incorporated membrane (MSCPMs) have been developed to increase stent patency by preventing tumor ingrowth. However, few studies have compared their efficacy and safety compared with conventional covered metal stents (CMSs). This study aimed to compare differences in efficacy and safety between PECMS/MSCPM and CMS by meta-analysis.
