Background: Emerging evidence indicates that microRNA (miRNA)-related genetic polymorphisms are strongly involved in the post-transcriptional regulation of the expression of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics- related genes, therefore contributing to the genetic variability of drug response.

Objective: To investigate the associations of miRNA-related genetic polymorphisms, including miRNA-5189 rs562929801, miRNA-595 rs4909237, SLCO1A2 rs4149009 and MTHFR rs3737966, and clinical response to methotrexate in Chinese rheumatoid arthritis patients.

Methods: One hundred patients treated with MTX for approximately 3 months were prospectively followed up to evaluate the clinical response according to European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) good and moderate response, disease activity score in 28 joint counts - erythrocyte sedimentation rate (DAS28-ESR) low disease activity (LDA) and remission (REM), change in DAS28-ESR (ΔDAS28-ESR) and ΔDAS28-ESR > 0.

The Affiliated Hospital of Medical School, Ningbo University, Ningbo 315020, China; Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and Zhejiang Key Laboratory of Pathphysiology, Medical School of Ningbo University, Ningbo 315211, China. Electronic address:

E3 ligases are involved in various cellular biological processes, and their loss of function or improper targeting can induce multiple types of human diseases. F-box protein 7(FBXO7) is a unit in the SKP1-Cullin1-F-box (SCF) SCF E3 ligase composite, playing the role of recognizing some substrates. Additionally, FBXO7 is involved in the regulation of the proteasome complex, mitophagy, the cell cycle, cell proliferation, and germ cell differentiation.

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) causes environmental contamination respiratory droplets and persists on contaminants and environmental surfaces for anywhere from a few hours to 6 days. Therefore, it is particularly important to understand the transmission and containment of SARS-CoV-2 on the surface of objects within isolated environments. In this study, 356 environmental surface samples were collected and 79 tested positive, with the highest contamination rate (56.

Transfer RNAs (tRNAs) are essential for protein synthesis. Mature or pre-tRNAs may be cleaved to produce tRNA-derived small RNAs (tsRNAs). tsRNAs, divided into tRNA-derived stress-induced RNA (tiRNAs) and tRNA-derived fragments (tRFs), play versatile roles in a number of fundamental biological processes.

December 2023

Ningbo Key Laboratory of Behavioral Neuroscience, Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Pathophysiology, School of Medicine, Ningbo University, Ningbo, Jiangbei District, China.

The detailed mechanism of inflammation in postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) is unclear. This study aimed to determine whether electroacupuncture (EA) ameliorates POCD by modulating gut microbial dysbiosis. Compared to the control group, mice in the EA group were treated at the acupoints Zusanli (ST36), Quchi (L111), Baihui (GV20), and Dazhui (GV14) 1 week before appendectomy.
