J Clin Lab Anal

June 2022

Department of Clinical Blood Transfusion, Huangshi Central Hospital, Affiliated Hospital of Hubei Polytechnic Univercity, Edong Healthcare Medical Group, Huangshi, China.

Background: This observational study aimed to compare the potential application of thromboelastography (TEG) in diagnosing women with normal pregnancy (NP) and women with threatened abortion (TA), missed abortion (MA), embryo arrest (EA), fetal death (FD), history of abnormal pregnancy (HAP), and antiphospholipid antibody syndrome (AA).

Methods: According to the relevant clinical criteria, patients were divided into groups, and their blood samples were subjected to TEG. Next, the parameters R, K, α-angle, MA, LY-30, G, and coagulation index (CI) were analyzed.

Importance: Perioperative chemotherapy is a potential treatment for locally advanced gastric cancer. However, the optimal chemotherapy regimen remains unknown.

Objective: To investigate the safety and efficacy of S-1 plus oxaliplatin (SOX) vs fluorouracil, leucovorin, and oxaliplatin (FOLFOX) as a perioperative chemotherapy regimen for patients with locally advanced gastric cancer.

Introduction: The current prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is unsatisfactory due to high rates of recurrence and metastasis, which has led to research focused on the discovery of metastasis genes.

Methods: In this study, we combined in silico analysis and in vitro transwell experiments to identify a metastasis gene. Then, we used an in vivo experiment to validate the metastasis.

Both aberrantly expressed mRNAs and micro(mi)RNAs play important roles in cancer cell function, which makes integration analysis difficult. In this study, we first applied master regulator analysisalgorithm and confirmed hsa-miR-4756-3p as a candidate miRNA in triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) patients; hsa-miR-4756-3p could regulate TNBC cell line apoptosis, proliferation, migration, and cell cycle as well as suppress TGF-β1 signalling andtumour growth. In TNBC, forkhead box protein M1 (FOXM1)was found to be an hsa-miR-4756-3p target gene, and FOXM1 knockout completely inhibited hsa-miR-4756-3p-induced cell migration and metastasis, TGF-β1 signalling, and epithelial mesenchymal signal activation, which indicated that hsa-miR-4756-3p functions via the FOXM1-TGFβ1-EMT axis.

August 2009

Reproductive Medicine Center, Institute of Clinical Medicine, Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, Medical School Zhejiang University, Hangzhou 310016, China.

Objectives: To study the relationship of the number and quality of embryos transferred with clinical pregnancy rate and multiple pregnancy rate in frozen-thawed embryo transfer (FET) cycle.

Methods: Retrospective analysis of the clinical data of 995 FET cycles. Patients were stratified as age < 35 or > or = 35, Both groups' clinical pregnancy rate and multiple pregnancy rate were compared according to the number of embryos and high-quality embryos transferred.

Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to create a quick and effective assay using whole blood to diagnose and research hydatidosis.
  • The developed dot immunogold filtration assay (DIGFA) had a positive rate of 8.469%, significantly higher than the 3.04% rate found using imaging techniques, and demonstrated reliability through follow-ups of positive cases.
  • DIGFA proved to be a trustworthy diagnostic tool with an 89.5% positive rate among confirmed cases and was effective in areas where hydatidosis is prevalent while showing negative results in non-endemic regions.
