Background And Aim: Selective internal radiotherapy (SIRT) is a minimal invasive tumor therapy for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), biliary tract cancer (BTC), and liver metastasis of extrahepatic tumors. Comprehensive data on past and current trends of SIRT as well as outcome parameters such as in-hospital mortality and adverse events in Germany are missing.

Methods: We evaluated current clinical developments and outcomes of SIRT in Germany based on standardized hospital discharge data, provided by the German Federal Statistical Office from 2012 to 2019.

Objective: To assess whether a healthy lifestyle is associated to beneficial effects on various systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) health domains.

Methods: In a cross-sectional study, Mediterranean Diet Adherence Score (MEDAS), physical activity energy expenditure (PAEE), and smoking status were assessed by questionnaires, along with clinical parameters and various health domains including Systemic Lupus Disease Activity Score (SLEDAI), Depression Scale (CES-D), Fatigue Severity (FSS), functional status (FFbH), physical and mental quality of life (PCS, MCS). Lifestyle choices were assessed with respect to health domains by linear regression modeling.

Background: In addition to the gastrointestinal symptoms, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), which includes Crohn's disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC), is associated with extraintestinal manifestations, including neurological disorders, which are gaining increasing attention due to a recently increased focus on the gut-brain axis. Here we aim to evaluate the association between IBD and restless legs syndrome (RLS) as well as Parkinson's disease (PD) in a cohort of primary care patients in Germany.

Since its medical legalization, cannabis preparations containing the major phytocannabinoids (cannabidiol (CBD) and δ-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)) have been used by patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) to alleviate pain and inflammation. However, minor cannabinoids such as cannabigerol (CBG) also demonstrated anti-inflammatory properties, but due to the lack of studies, they are not widely used. CBG binds several cellular target proteins such as cannabinoid and α2-adrenergic receptors, but it also ligates several members of the transient potential receptor (TRP) family with TRPA1 being the main target.

Gallium 68 (Ga)-labeled fibroblast activation protein (FAP) inhibitor (FAPI) PET is based on the molecular targeting of the FAP, which is known to be highly expressed in the major cell population in tumor stroma, termed cancer-associated fibroblasts. Among many FAP-targeted radiopharmaceuticals developed so far, Ga-FAPI exhibits rapid tracer accumulation in target lesions and low background signal, which results in excellent imaging features. FAPI PET can be integrated in the clinical workflow and enables the detection of small primary or metastatic lesions, especially in the brain, liver, pancreas, and gastrointestinal tract due to the low tracer accumulation in these organs.
