Objective: Vitamin D deficiency is common in adult patients undergoing allogenic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT). Since vitamin D is an important regulatory factor for the immune system, vitamin D deficiency may have effects on antitumor activity, relapse rates, graft versus host disease (GVHD) occurrence and infection rates in allo-HSCT. We aimed to investigate the effects of vitamin D levels on the outcome of allo-HSCT.

Objectives: Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) is a potentially curative treatment for hematological diseases, with success rates improving due to advancements in conditioning regimens and new anti-graft versus host disease (GVHD) drugs. Ruxolitinib, an oral selective Janus kinase (JAK) 1 and 2 inhibitor has been used to mitigate the effects of various inflammatory and myeloproliferative syndromes, given the JAK kinase pathway's central role in cytokine signaling during inflammatory and immune processes. In this study we aimed to assess ruxolitinib's efficacy in patients with chronic GVHD (cGVHD).

Background: While cardiovascular and neurological diseases induced by obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) hypoxia are well established, the association between neuro-otological diseases and OSAS is not entirely understood. Vestibular and audiological tests have been used to evaluate the degeneration of neurons in the brainstem caused by recurrent hypoxia.
Purpose: Evaluation of the vestibular-evoked myogenic potential (VEMP) test findings applied to detect the possible influence on the vestibular reflex arc due to hypoxia in patients diagnosed with OSAS using Activity-Specific Balance Confidence (ABC) and Berg Balance Scale (BBS) scales determination of scores.

Background: Collagenases, a subgroup of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), play crucial roles in local invasion and metastasis in cancer. While substrate zymography and in situ zymography are commonly used to analyze the collagenases, traditional techniques have limitations in determining their local activities in vitro.
Objectives: We aimed to develop a new "cell in situ collagen zymography" technique to enhance the efficiency of studying local collagenase activities in vitro.
Objective: To investigate whether the timing of bacillus Calmette-Guerin instillation (TTBCG), which plays a key role in treating non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC), after transurethral resection of bladder tumor (TURBT) affects oncologic outcomes.
Methods: Patient data obtained from the Urologic Cancer Database- Bladder (UroCaD-B) of Turkish Uro-oncology Association (TUOA) were evaluated. Data from 292 patients from 12 centers with primary T1HG treated with TURBT and maintenance BCG between 2003 and 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.
