The study measured oxygen content and saturation levels in the arterial and venous blood of 15 healthy individuals, revealing average arterial oxygen saturation of 95.5%.
Oxygen consumption varied from 2.6 to 8.3 volumes per cent, with arterial saturation decreasing after exercise and showing differences in carbon dioxide content.
In patients with anemia and cardiac issues, arterial saturation often remained low, but some patients returned to normal levels with treatment, while others exhibited persistent low saturation despite ongoing health issues.
