Forkhead box P3 (FOXP3) has been identified as a novel molecular marker in various types of cancer. The present study assessed the expression of FOXP3 in patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) and its potential as a clinical prognostic indicator, and developed a radiomics model based on enhanced computed tomography (CT) imaging. Data from 483 patients with HNSCC were downloaded from the Cancer Genome Atlas for FOXP3 prognostic analysis and enhanced CT images from 139 patients included in the Cancer Imaging Archives, which were subjected to the maximum relevance and minimum redundancy and recursive feature elimination algorithms for radiomics feature extraction and processing.

A prognostic model utilizing CT radiomics, radiological, and clinical features was developed and validated in this study to predict an objective response to initial transcatheter arterial chemoembolization with drug-eluting beads (DEB-TACE) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Between January 2017 and December 2022, the baseline clinical characteristics and preoperative and postoperative follow-up imaging data of 108 HCC patients who underwent the first time treatment of DEB-TACE were analyzed retrospectively. Apart from its application in key steps of cataract surgery, both domestic and international research indicates that the introduction of femtosecond laser technology has enhanced the precision of arcuate incisions in keratotomy, reducing the risk of intraoperative or postoperative complications.

Mass spectrometry-coupled cellular thermal shift assay (MS-CETSA), a biophysical principle-based technique that measures the thermal stability of proteins at the proteome level inside the cell, has contributed significantly to the understanding of drug mechanisms of action and the dissection of protein interaction dynamics in different cellular states. One of the barriers to the wide applications of MS-CETSA is that MS-CETSA experiments must be performed on the specific cell lines of interest, which is typically time-consuming and costly in terms of labeling reagents and mass spectrometry time. Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is notorious for its resistance against chemotherapy and immunotherapy due to its dense desmoplastic and immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME). Traditional photodynamic therapy (PDT) was also less effective for PDAC owing to poor selectivity, insufficient penetration, and accumulation of photosensitizers in tumor sites. Background: Zheng's supine rehabilitation exercise (ZSRE) can be performed by elderly patients with the acute exacerbation of severe or extremely severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) with high safety and compliance and was helpful for their recovery. Investigation is warranted of the compliance and rehabilitation effects of ZSRE performed at home in patients with COPD.
