Introduction: Posterior ankle impingement is a common cause of chronic ankle pain. Although nonoperative treatment is initially preferred, there are surgical options if the symptoms are persistent. Minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures reduce surgical trauma and enable an early return to routine activities.

This is necessary for treatment, to prevent progression to complications such as mineral bone disease, and to improve quality of life. We aimed to study the biochemical profile of patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) grades 4 and 5 on MHD, identify markers altered due to different etiologies, duration of illness, and duration of hemodialysis, and create a panel of markers that can be useful in planning better management.

Unlabelled: Intrasphenoidal encephalocoeles are acquired or congenital herniations of meninges and brain parenchyma through a structural sphenoid bone defect. Acquired causes are most common, either iatrogenic, post-traumatic, or spontaneous. However, defects in the lateral wall of the sphenoid sinus are uncommon and cephalocoeles through them relatively underexplored in current literature, warranting dedicated attention to unravel their complexities.

Introduction: Lymphatic malformations (LMs) are an aberrant developmental anomaly of dysplastic sequestrated lymphatic vessels. Though surgical excision has been the conventional treatment modality, it has been associated with injury to adjacent structures, recurrences, and poor cosmesis. Intralesional bleomycin has shown a promising role in the treatment of LMs, and we present our experience with aqueous intralesional bleomycin in the pediatric population including infants in terms of its efficacy, complications, and parental satisfaction.

Despite being the second most common malignant bone tumor, Ewing's sarcoma remains uncommon in younger children and seldom seen in neonates and infants. Extraskeletal locations are even rarer, hardly ever suspected, and often misdiagnosed, causing delays in management. The histologic similarities of Ewing's sarcoma to more common pediatric small-blue-round-cell tumors such as lymphoma and neuroblastoma necessitate immunohistochemistry and molecular genetics for clinching the diagnosis.

Background: The art of surgery is becoming increasingly complex and dependent on scopes, screens, and technology, inviting a complex learning curve and development of hand-eye coordination and dexterity among other skills. We introduce an affordable, do-it-yourself microsurgical simulator that can be set up using a smartphone and a pair of reflective prism glasses. The glasses employ periscopic prisms on either side that reflect light perpendicularly.

WHO has recommended use of the partograph, a low-tech paper form that has been hailed as an effective tool for the early detection of maternal and fetal complications during childbirth. Yet despite decades of training and investment, implementation rates and capacity to correctly use the partograph remain low in resource-limited settings. Nevertheless, competent use of the partograph, especially using newer technologies, can save maternal and fetal lives by ensuring that labor is closely monitored and that life-threatening complications such as obstructed labor are identified and treated.

Iron deficiency anemia is a significant problem worldwide and more so in developing countries, like India. The prevention and treatment of iron deficiency is a major public health goal in India It is now well recognized that iron deficiency has detrimental effects in patients with coronary artery disease, heart failure, and pulmonary hypertension, and possibly in patients undergoing cardiac surgery. Around one-third of all patients with HF, and around one-half of patients with pulmonary hypertension, are affected by iron deficiency.

Materials And Methods: Antioxidant levels like catalase, glutathione peroxidase (GPx), vitamin E, glutathione (GSH), thiol group (SH), uric acid, and total antioxidant capacity (TAC) were compared between 100 patients with epilepsy and equal number of controls.

Acquired central and peripheral demyelination in the same patient is a very rare feature. We report a 52-year-male patient with the chronic autoimmune hepatitis (CAH) presenting with pure motor areflexic quadriparesis from 4 months and recent onset of drowsiness of 4 days duration. Studies of imaging and electrophysiology suggested central pontine myelinolysis and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy.

Pathological criteria alone do not make an accurate diagnosis of parathyroid carcinoma in cases of well-defined organ contained lesion without local and distant metastasis. Intra-operative appearance of pale, grayish, firm tumor is highly suggestive of parathyroid carcinoma, even though this finding is not included in the pathological criteria for diagnosing a malignancy. Gross features of the tumor also should be added to the pathological criteria so as to ensure an accurate assessment of the biological behavior of the parathyroid tumor.
