Background: Alzheimer's Disease is a neurodegenerative condition leading to irreversible and progressive brain damage, with possible features such as structural atrophy. Effective precision diagnosis is crucial for slowing disease progression and reducing the incidence rate and morbidity. Traditional computer-aided diagnostic methods using structural MRI data often focus on capturing such features but face challenges, like overfitting with 3D image analysis and insufficient feature capture with 2D slices, potentially missing multi-planar information, and the complementary nature of features across different orientations.

Purpose: Mobile health applications have been widely adopted among breast cancer survivors for disease management; however, their use specifically for the prevention of breast cancer-related lymphedema (BCRL) remains sparse. This study is aimed at developing a WeChat-based intervention program for the prevention of BCRL based on the common-sense model (CSM).
Methods: This study was designed based on intervention mapping.

Angiomyolipoma is a benign mesenchymal tumour of kidney that consists of adipose tissue, muscle cells and blood vessels. Renal angiomyolipomas represent almost one percent of all renal tumours. We reported a case of a 50-year-old woman complaining of mild abdominal discomfort with no other symptoms and no remarkable medical history.

Chronic intertrigo of toe-web space is a recalcitrant problem which is often associated with multi-organism infections. For this, a number of topical therapies with preventative measures are used, but many of them are cumbersome and not very effective. Cryotherapy is a good option for treating the toe intertrigo, but its availability is a major concern.

Background: Monitoring symptoms is crucial for the early detection of disease progression and timely intervention, which is essential for reducing severe cases and mortality rates in rapidly spreading pandemics, such as COVID-19. Therefore, during infectious disease pandemics, the rapid development of real-time symptom monitoring platforms is essential. This study aimed to explore the urgent development process of an electronic system for patient-reported outcome monitoring in emergency situations.

Introduction: The efficacy of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is highly dependent on adherence, and adherence behavior is influenced by motivation. The aim of this study was to explore the longitudinal relationship between PrEP motivation and change in adherence among men who have sex with men (MSM) in Western China.
Methods: From November 2019 to June 2021, we conducted a PrEP prospective cohort study.

Purpose: The use of topical corticosteroids (TCSs) has become an efficient, less-invasive treatment for phimosis. Whether any significant difference in efficacy exists between TCSs based on their potency is unclear.
Methods: Electronic databases were searched up to March 2024 for randomised controlled trials (RCTs) comparing the use of any type or concentration of TCSs with placebo or no treatment in boys with any degree of physician diagnosed phimosis.

Background: Adenomyosis is a common gynecological disease, characterized by overgrowth of endometrial glands and stroma in the myometrium, however its exact pathophysiology still remains uncertain. Emerging evidence has demonstrated the elevated level of arginase 2 (ARG2) in endometriosis and adenomyosis. This study aimed to determine whether ARG2 involved in mitochondrial function and epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT) in adenomyosis and its potential underlying mechanisms.

Background: Presbycusis, also referred to as age-related hearing loss (ARHL), is a condition that results from the cumulative effects of aging on an individual's auditory capabilities. Given the limited understanding of epigenetic mechanisms in ARHL, our research focuses on alterations in chromatin-accessible regions.
Methods: We employed assay for transposase-accessible chromatin with high-throughput sequencing (ATAC-seq) in conjunction with unique identifier (UID) mRNA-seq between young and aging cochleae, and conducted integrated analysis as well as motif/TF-gene prediction.

In the realm of high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) therapy, the precise prediction of lesion size during treatment planning remains a challenge, primarily due to the difficulty in quantitatively assessing energy deposition at the target site and the acoustic properties of the tissue through which the ultrasound wave propagates. This study investigates the hypothesis that the echo amplitude originating from the focus is indicative of acoustic attenuation and is directly related to the resultant lesion size. Echoes from multi-layered tissues, specifically porcine tenderloin and bovine livers, with varying fat thickness from 0 mm to 35 mm were collected using a focused ultrasound (FUS) transducer operated at a low power output and short duration.

Background: Sodium-dependent glucose transporter (SGLT2) inhibitors (SGLT2i) have been found to have anti-atherosclerotic effects in clinical treatment.
Objectives: The aim of this study was to explore whether angiotensin II (Ang II) induces changes in the expression of Na+/H+ exchanger of cytoplasmic membrane channel proteins (NHE1) and SGLT2 in macrophages and whether dapagliflozin (DAPA), an SGLT2i, protects against Ang II induced macrophage senescence by inhibiting NHE1 activation to alleviate Atherosclerosis (AS).
Methods: After intervention with DAPA plus gavage or feeding them a high-fat diet, the mice's aortas were dissected, and oil red O staining was performed.

Objective: To report the long-term re-intervention of patients with uterine fibroids after ultrasound-guided high-intensity focused ultrasound (USgHIFU) ablation and to analyse the influencing factors of re-intervention in patients in the NPVR ≥ 80% group.
Materials And Methods: Patients with a single uterine fibroid who underwent USgHIFU at our hospital from January 2012 to December 2019 were enrolled. The patients were divided into four groups according to different nonperfusion volume ratio (NPVR).
