Background: Limited research exists on the association between preconception pro-inflammatory diets and adverse pregnancy outcomes, and this relationship remains poorly understood.
Objective: To investigate the association between preconception dietary inflammatory potential, as measured by the Dietary Inflammatory Index (DII), and adverse pregnancy outcomes in nulliparous individuals.

Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) is an isothermal process for amplification of nucleic acids at constant temperature and has been used to develop field-friendly tests for many diseases. In the present study, we have described the development of a colorimetric LAMP assay targeting Mycobacterium leprae-specific 450 bp conserved region of the repeat sequences known as RLEP.

Background And Objectives: We are reporting the performance of HPV self-sample collected by a novel kit in comparison with clinician collected cervical sample for HPV testing for cervical cancer screening.
Methods: Consenting, eligible women aged 25 to 60, with a positive cervical cancer screening test report in the past one year but without any prior treatment for cervical abnormalities were enrolled in the study. Each woman provided 2 samples for the HPV test (vaginal self-sample collected with the CERVICHECKTM, an indigenous kit from India and cervical sample collected by the clinician).

Prosthetic bone and joint infections are difficult to treat with varying levels of success with standard therapy. Synthetic calcium sulfate carrier, to which specific antibiotics can be added, can be utilized as an alternative drug delivery system in these cases. We have reviewed clinical outcomes using commercially available pure synthetic calcium sulfate dissolvable beads (Stimulan) loaded with antibiotics in 143 patients undergoing orthopedic surgery for prevention and treatment of joint infection.

Background: Extrapulmonary tuberculosis (EP-TB) constitutes one-fifth of all tuberculosis (TB) cases. EP-TB mimics common infections which pose diagnostic dilemma, requires extensive diagnostics that culminate into therapeutic delay often resulting in irrational and empirical institution of antitubercular therapy (ATT) in challenging cases. This supplemented by poor treatment compliance resulted in emergence of Drug-resistant (DR) strains of EP-TB which further impedes the path to recovery.

Larsen's syndrome is an exceedingly rare and debilitating skeletal disorder characterized by multiple bony deformities and joint contractures. A 47-year-old female grappled with its severe manifestations, including functional quadriplegia, limb atrophy, and various orthopedic surgeries. This is the only reported case of the concurrent presence of antiphospholipid antibody syndrome (APLA) and Larsen's syndrome.

Metabolic-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) is the most common cause of chronic liver disease in Western countries, with rapidly increasing prevalence worldwide, estimated at around 40% due to modernization and urbanization. MASLD is defined as hepatic steatosis and identified through histology, imaging, blood markers, and in the absence of other secondary causes of hepatic fat accumulation, such as significant alcohol consumption, use of steatogenic medication, or hereditary disorders. The current management strategies addressing MASLD involve lifestyle modifications and treating coexisting conditions such as obesity, hyperlipidemia, insulin resistance, and type 2 diabetes.
