Purpose Of Review: A life-limiting fetal diagnosis (LLD) refers to a medical condition identified during pregnancy that is expected to lead to stillbirth, preclude ex utero survival, or significantly reduce neonatal life expectancy. The terms 'lethal' or 'life-limiting' are used to prognosticate early death for various anatomic or physiologic causes, although the expected timeframe is nonspecific. The purpose of this manuscript is to review how the terms 'lethal' or 'life limiting' are used in contemporary perinatal research.

Glenoid and humeral bone loss is associated with a high incidence of recurrent shoulder instability and failure of arthroscopic stabilization procedures. However, the radiographic evaluation of bony Bankart and Hill-Sachs injuries continues to pose a diagnostic challenge, and a universally accepted optimal method of measurement is lacking. The purpose of this review is to summarize the advantages and disadvantages of various techniques and imaging modalities available for measuring glenoid bone loss in shoulder instability, including conventional roentgenography, 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Fusion-associated small transmembrane (FAST) proteins are nonstructural viral proteins that induce cell-cell fusion. FAST proteins, which previously were identified in the genomes of double-stranded RNA viruses, typically contain an acylated N-terminal ectodomain, central transmembrane domain, and C-terminal endodomain with a polybasic region. Using sequence homology and protein motif prediction, we identified accessory proteins in a subset of avian deltacoronaviruses as putative FAST proteins.
