Single Blind, Randomised Study Regarding the Treatment of the Telangiectasia of the Lower Limbs (C1EAP) Using Polidocanol 0,5%, 1%, and Nd:YAG Laser.

The treatment of leg telangiectasias could be done with liquid sclerotherapy or Nd:YAG laser. We evaluated randomly, in a simple blind, the efficacy of the treatment with 0,5% polidocanol (POL-0,5), 1% polidocanol (POL-1) and Nd:YAG laser (LAS) on 132 patient (264 limbs) with telangiectasia of the lower limbs with less than 2mm diameter (C1EAP). The main objective was to evaluate the efficacy of the sclerotherapy (chemical compared with Nd:YAG-LAS).

The Importance of Dermoscopy in Early Recognition of Melanoma in Situ.

Early recognition of melanoma in situ (MIS) is an ongoing challenge in dermatology. It rarely arises 'de novo', most frequently resulting due to the transformation of an atypical nevus. The diagnostic criteria for MIS are diverse dermoscopy being the most used and it has a sensitivity of 83% and a specificity of 69% in detecting melanomas.

The Importance of Dermatoscopy for the Diagnosis of Melanonychia.

Unlabelled: Melanonychia is the brown or black color of the finger or toe nail due to melanin deposition or melanocytes in the nail plate. The evidence of melanocytic disease is made by the dermatoscope, which allows to highlight the anomalies of the plate. The purpose of our study was to evaluate dermatoscopically the melanonychia, both in the form of stain and longitudinal on finger and/or toe nails in order to establish the type of nail hyperpigmentation.

Treatment of Lower Limbs Telangiectasias with Nd: Yag Laser-Prospective Study on 446 Patients.

In the last two decades Nd: YAG laser has become a standard of treatment of telangiectasias of the lower limbs in CEAP stage of chronic venous insufficiency. This paper shows the results of a two years study period of telangiectasias of lower limbs with Nd: YAG laser conducted in a specialised centre in this type of procedures. The study group consisted of 446 patients (21 males and 425 females) with telangiectasias (CEAP) on the lower limbs between January 2016-December 2017.

Investigator-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized comparative study on combined vacuum and intense pulsed light versus intense pulsed light devices in both comedonal and papulopustular acne.

Introduction: The aim was to compare the treatment effectiveness of intense pulsed light (IPL) and vacuum versus IPL with placebo for mild to moderate comedonal and inflammatory acne.

Patients And Methods: We randomized 180 patients with mild to moderate comedonal and inflammatory acne into three groups: Group A - 60 patients treated with vacuum and IPL, Group V - 60 patients treated with IPL, and Group 0 (control group) - 60 patients who received topical treatment with Sebium H2O Micellaire Solution.
