Objectives: To evaluate the oncological results of hyperthermic Mitomycin C (MMC) in adjuvant treatment of high-risk non-muscle invasive bladder cancer and to assess its side-effect profile.
Methods: Patients who were followed up in two reference university hospitals due to high-risk non-muscle invasive bladder tumors were included in the study. High-risk patients according to the EAU non-muscle invasive bladder cancer guideline, patients who were rejected early cystectomy, patients who could not be treated with BCG due to a shortage, and patients for whom the cystectomy would be too risky due to their comorbidities were included in the study.

After the declaration of the coronavirus-2019 (COVID-19) pandemic and the detection of the COVID-19 case in Turkey, a series of non-pharmaceutical measures were implemented to reduce the number of contacts at the national level. The aim of this study was to determine the change in the epidemic reproduction rate (R0) with non-pharmaceutical interventions including curfews starting with the first reported case in Istanbul and to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions by estimating the number of cases and deaths using a dynamic compartmental model. While keeping transmission probability (beta) as 3% and incubation period as seven days, we developed five scenarios that represented nonpharmaceutical interventions The first scenario was "if nothing was done" and the last scenario was "curfew".

Objective: To investigate whether partial arterial carbon dioxide pressure (PaCO ) level in arterial blood gas analysis that was used to predict nocturnal hypoventilation (NH) is concordant with nocturnal end-tidal CO (PetCO ) measurement obtained by a noninvasive method of oxycapnography in children with neuromuscular disease (NMD).
Methods: Twenty-one patients aged 6-18 years with a confirmed diagnosis of NMD were enrolled. Each patient underwent a nocturnal oxycapnography study using an orinasal probe and a pulse oximetry finger probe to record PetCO , oxygen saturation (SpO ), pulse rate, and respiratory rate.

Objective: Low glutamine levels have been shown in tumor environments for several cancer subtypes. Therefore, it has been suggested that cancer cells rewire their metabolism to adopt low nutrient levels for survival and proliferation. Although glutamine is a non-essential amino acid and can be synthesized de novo, many cancer cells including malignant hematopoietic cells have been indicated to be addicted to glutamine.

Methods: Data were harvested from the "Public Health Management System-HSYS," which collate centrally the records of all known cases of COVID-19. The total number of cases, numbers admitted to ICU, and number undergoing intubation were compared between 2 time periods: 11 of March, the date on which the first case in Turkey was confirmed, to 30 of March; and March 30, to 10 of April, 5 days after Favipiravir was introduced into the treatment algorithm when, the records were examined.
