Introduction: Hilar clamping is often performed to facilitate robotic partial nephrectomy (RPN). Minimal clamping techniques may reduce renal ischemia, including early unclamping, selective clamping, and off-clamp RPN. We assess the utilization of clamping techniques in a large international consortium of surgeons performing RPN for complex tumors.

Objective: To evaluate the outcomes of robot-assisted partial nephrectomy (RAPN) in cystic tumours, analysing a large, multi-institutional, retrospective series of RAPN, as limited data are available about the outcome of RAPN in cystic tumours.

Patients And Methods: We evaluated 465 patients who received RAPN for either cystic or solid tumours from 2010 to 2013 and included in the multi-institutional, retrospective Vattikuti Global Quality Initiative in Robotic Urologic Surgery (GQI-RUS) database. Univariable and multivariable linear and logistic regression models addressed the association of cystic tumours with perioperative outcomes.

Steroids have been the essential component of transplant immunosuppression. Recently, with availability of better immunosuppressive agents, many centers have started steroid free transplant with good success rates. We analyzed the outcomes of early corticosteroid withdrawal (CSW) protocol in our living donor kidney transplant programme.

Although penicillamine has been used effectively in the management of a variety of diseases, several adverse reactions have been observed with prolonged administration of this agent. We report a case of Goodpasture's syndrome, as a result of induction of anti-myeloperoxidase antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies in a 51 year old man who was being treated with this drug for rheumatoid arthritis. This pulmonary-renal syndrome has been described on rare occasions in patients receiving penicillamine.

There are conflicting data regarding the comparative efficacy of mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) versus azathioprine (AZA) as maintenance immunosuppressive agent in kidney transplantation. The data are even less in combination with tacrolimus (TAC) in living donor kidney transplantation. A total of 205 living donor kidney transplants, on TAC-based triple drug immunosuppression were included in the study.

Context: Various minimally invasive techniques - laparoscopic, endoscopic or combinations of both - have been described to handle the lower ureter during laparoscopic nephroureterectomy but none has received wide acceptance.

Aims: We describe an endoscopic technique for the management of lower end of ureter during laparoscopic nephroureterectomy using a single suprapubic laparoscopic port.

Materials And Methods: Transurethral resectoscope is used to make a full thickness incision in the bladder cuff around the ureteric orifice from 1 o'clock to 11 o'clock.
