The dynamics of carbon dioxide, carbonate anion (CO), and dicarbonate anion (CO) in NaKA zeolite is studied at the DFT GGA level using molecular dynamics (AIMD). We show the easy formation of CO dicarbonate from the reaction between CO and CO at high CO loading and their equilibrium at low CO loading. We have found that the dicarbonate anion can contact up to six cations (Me and Na, Me = Na, K, Rb, Cs), which could reduce the separation properties of NaMeA zeolites relative to CO mixtures.

The deformation behavior of duplex stainless steel under tension and bending, accompanied by a pulsed current and when heated by an external source, is investigated. The stress-strain curves are compared at the same temperatures. The contribution to the decrease in flow stresses is greater when using a multi-pulse current at the same temperature, compared to external heating.

β-Ti alloys have low elastic modulus, good specific strength and high corrosion resistance for biomaterial applications. Noble elements, such as Nb, Ta and Mo, are used to obtain β-Ti due to their chemical biocompatibility. However, due to their refractory nature, β-Ti requires specific processing routes.
