Introduction: Hysterosalpingography (HSG) and hysterosalpingo-foam sonography (HyFoSy) are commonly used tubal patency tests during the fertility work-up. Besides its diagnostic purpose, HSG with oil-based contrast can also be applied for its fertility-enhancing effect, by tubal flushing. HyFoSy is considered as less painful compared with HSG, it lacks exposure to iodinated contrast medium and ionising radiation.

Incidence of early persistent pain after video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery: a single-centre prospective cohort study.

Background: Despite the benefits of video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS), postoperative acute pain and nerve injury are still present and contribute to early persistent and chronic pain. The purpose of this study is to describe the incidence of early persistent pain (EPP) after VATS, which remains unexplored, to enhance patient care and promote awareness among clinicians regarding this clinical condition.

Inguinal hernia recurrence after laparoscopic mesh removal for chronic pain: a single-center experience with 11 years of practice.

Introduction: Up to 12% of patients undergoing minimally invasive inguinal hernia repair may develop chronic postoperative inguinal pain (CPIP), possibly explained by the presence of mesh. Recent studies reported that laparoscopic mesh removal is feasible and safe. However, the risk of a hernia recurrence is unknown.

Background: Informal caregivers play a crucial role in dialysis care but may experience significant burden, potentially affecting both caregiver and patient outcomes. Research on caregiver burden and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) and the relation to patient-reported outcomes (PROs) is lacking. Background And Objectives: Autoimmune encephalitis (AIE) and paraneoplastic neurologic syndromes (PNSs) encompass a heterogeneous group of antibody-associated disorders. Both the number of syndromes and commercially available antibody tests have increased considerably over the past decade. High-quality population-based data on epidemiology of these disorders and real-world performance of antibody tests are needed.

Risk factors for hospitalisation in community-dwelling pre-frail and frail older people: results of a longitudinal study.

Background: Older adults account for a large proportion of hospital admissions. In this study we aim to bridge a gap between medical and psychosocial factors in predicting hospitalisation.

Methods: Demographic and social characteristics of community-dwelling pre-frail and frail older people were collected by questionnaires every six months during a two year follow-up.

Adjuvant immunotherapy in older patients with stage III and resected stage IV melanoma: Toxicity and recurrence-free survival outcomes from the Dutch melanoma treatment registry.
