The current study investigates the NLRP3's cytotoxicity inhibitory effect among ovarian cancer cells and how it interacts with Wnt/β-catenin in vitro conditions. Further, the study also analyzed the regulatory role of NLRP3 in resistance to gemcitabine among ovarian cancer cells and its underlying interaction mechanisms with Wnt/β-catenin in vitro. The current in vitro study detailed that when downregulating NLRP3, it could enhance the gemcitabine sensitivity in GRC cells.

PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) occurs due to hyperandrogenism, excessive androgen, abnormal growth, steroidogenesis and seems to be associated with abnormal Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) level in serum. The treatment is provided on the basis of body symptoms to mute the excess production of hormone. The study assessed the effect of prednisolone treatment on the concentration of VEGF, pregnancy outcomes and variants of VEGF SNPs.

The present study examined hospital-based serological tests of rickettsial infections and assessment for diagnosis of pyrexia of unknown origin (PUO). Blood samples were tested for Weil Felix antigens, ELISA for scrub typhus group and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to detect the presence of DNA of spotted and scrub typhus group with the help of specific oligonucleotide. We tested 450 patient samples and found 101 Weil Felix-positive with 15 having ≥320 titres.

Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is a well-known factor in reproductive function and contributes to the pathogenesis of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Genetic variations in VEGFA gene were suggested to contribute alterations in VEGF secretion and PCOS. This study evaluated the association of VEGFA SNPs with altered VEGF secretion level and PCOS among ethnically-matched control women.

Aims: Lectin is a nonimmunogenic glycoprotein that has been extracted mostly from the primary plant source leguminoase. Its ability to precisely recognize and bind to the complex cell bound structure enables it to play diverse roles. In this study, we obligate to define new sources of lectins since the production of lectins is very expensive.
