This paper presents a study of the Ti-6Al-4V alloy milling under different lubrication conditions, using the minimum quantity lubrication approach. The chosen material is widely used in the industry due to its properties, although they present difficulties in terms of their machinability. A minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) prototype valve was built for this purpose, and machining followed a previously defined experimental design with three lubrication strategies.

This study investigated methane production in an anaerobic sequencing batch biofilm reactor (AnSBBR) by co-digesting sugarcane vinasse and cheese whey. The assessment was based on the influence of feed strategy, interaction between cycle time and influent concentration, applied volumetric organic load (OLR), and temperature over system stability and performance. The system showed flexibility with regard to the feed strategy, but the reduction of cycle time and influent concentration, at the same OLR, resulted in lower methane productivity.

The objective of this work was to study the coating process of nifedipine extended release pellets using Opadry and Opadry II, in a fluid bed coater with a Wurster insert. The coating process was studied using a complete experimental design of two factors at two levels for each polymer. The variables studied were the inlet air temperature and the coating suspension flow rate.
