In this paper, I provide a concise overview of the state of the scientific study of moral injury (MI). I argue that the state of science is immature, characterized by the lack of a paradigmatic theory and a lack of rigor in terms of construct definition and measurement. Because researchers, clinicians, and the media reify the results of empirical and clinical outcome studies that are chiefly exploratory and fraught with internal validity problems, enthusiasm about MI continues to far outweigh scientific and actionable, practice-based knowledge.

In this report, we demonstrate that an antibody targeting the isoDGR damage motif in lung tissue can guide immune clearance of harmful damaged proteins in vivo, effectively reducing age-linked lung inflammation.

Additionally, we evaluated the impact of lithium on psoriasis in patients with BD and included a quality assessment of all the studies.

Bromocriptine for Residual Catatonia Following Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome: Illustrative Case Report and Systematic Review.

Background: Neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS) is a rare yet potentially fatal iatrogenic syndrome that can manifest with life-threatening symptoms. Theorized to be caused by the dopamine-blocking effects of certain medications, such as antipsychotics, or the withdrawal of dopaminergic agents, NMS is characterized by hyperthermia, autonomic instability, altered mental status, and muscular rigidity. Most treated cases resolve within weeks; however, in some cases, residual catatonic symptoms can persist for months after the resolution of acute hyperthermic and hypermetabolic symptoms.

Background: Mood and anxiety disorders affect one in five perinatal individuals and are undertreated. While professional organizations and policy makers recommend that obstetric practices screen for, assess and treat mood and anxiety disorders, multi-level barriers to doing so exist. To help obstetric practices implement the recommended standard of care, we developed implementation assistance, an approach to guide practices on how to integrate screening, assessment, and treatment of mood and anxiety disorders into the obstetric practice workflow.

Differences in Statin Eligibility with the Use of Predicting Risk of Cardiovascular Disease EVENTs Versus Pooled Cohort Equations in the UK Biobank.

The Pooled-Cohort Equations (PCEs), developed by the American Heart Association (AHA) and American College of Cardiology (ACC), have been widely used since 2013 to estimate 10-year atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) risk and guide statin therapy. Recently, the AHA introduced the Predicting Risk of CVD EVENTs (PREVENT) equations to improve ASCVD risk estimation. Technological innovations in genomics and related fields have facilitated large sequencing efforts, supported new biological discoveries in cancer, and spawned an era of liquid biopsy biomarkers. Despite these advances, precision oncology has practical constraints, partly related to cancer's biological diversity and spatial and temporal complexity. Advanced imaging technologies are being developed to address some of the current limitations in early detection, treatment selection and planning, drug delivery, and therapeutic response, as well as difficulties posed by drug resistance, drug toxicity, disease monitoring, and metastatic evolution.

Background: Belzutifan, a first-in-class HIF-2α inhibitor, has shown antitumour activity as monotherapy and in combination with cabozantinib in patients with previously treated advanced kidney cancer. This article updates the prior 2018 consensus statement by the National Network of Depression Centers (NNDC) on the use of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) in the treatment of depression, incorporating recent research and clinical developments. Publications on TMS and depression between September 2016 and April 2024 were identified using methods informed by PRISMA guidelines. The NNDC Neuromodulation Work Group met monthly between October 2022 and April 2024 to define important clinical topics and review pertinent literature.

Several groundwater quality investigations have been conducted in coastal regions that are commonly exposed to multiple anthropogenic stressors. Nonetheless, such studies remain challenging because they require focused-diagnostic approaches for a comprehensive understanding of groundwater contamination. Therefore, this study integrates a multi-tracer approach to acquire comprehensive information allowing for an improved understanding of the origins of groundwater contamination, the relative contribution of contaminants, and their biogeochemical cycling within a coastal groundwater system.
