This study investigated the long-term impact of BNT162b2 SARS-CoV-2 vaccine on breakthrough infection rates in the NHs of Florence, Italy.

Methods: Participants included residents living in Florence NHs as of April 1st, 2021, who had completed the primary SARS-CoV2 vaccination course by February 15th, 2021.

Vascular Accesses in Cardiac Stimulation and Electrophysiology: An Italian Survey Promoted by AIAC (Italian Association of Arrhythmias and Cardiac Pacing).

Cardiac implantable electronic device (CIED) implants and electrophysiological procedures share a common step: vascular access. On behalf of the AIAC Ricerca Investigators' Network, we conducted a survey to outline Italian common practice regarding vascular access in EP-lab. We describe the case of a 15-year-old female patient with Peutz-Jeghers syndrome who presented with vomiting and abdominal pain secondary to ileoileal invagination. Initial analgesic treatment was not effective, and subsequent tramadol infusion resulted in clinical manifestations compatible with Kounis and Takotsubo syndromes. However, the patient had an excellent recovery.
