Background Enamel etching is of utmost importance during the orthodontic bonding procedure. Phosphoric acid, hydrofluoric acid, and citric acid are used in specific concentrations to create surface irregularities on enamel surfaces, enhancing the bond strength of the orthodontic attachment. Therefore, it is essential to evaluate the type of etchant for reliable orthodontic bracket bonding with minimal damage to the enamel surface.

Unlabelled: Inflammation of the gums and other tissues supporting the teeth, as well as gradual loss of attachment and bone, are the results of chronic periodontitis, an infectious illness. During inflammation, a group of low molecular weight proteins called cytokines facilitate a complex interaction between inflammatory cells (such neutrophils) and other cellular components in connective tissue. The cytokine interleukin-8 (IL-8) is a potent neutrophil chemoattractant.

(1) Background: The categorization of recurrent and non-recurrent odontogenic keratocyst is complex and challenging for both clinicians and pathologists. What sets this cyst apart is its aggressive nature and high likelihood of recurrence. Despite identifying various predictive clinical/radiological/histopathological parameters, clinicians still face difficulties in therapeutic management due to its inherent aggressive nature.

Background: Oral surgery and surgical interventions in the field of periodontology require the uneventful wound healing of soft tissues to be successful. However, since the oral cavity is exposed to saliva and is a niche for oral microorganisms, wound healing can be delayed, causing pain and discomfort to the patient. Hence, a great deal of interest has shifted to the study of agents that can enhance wound-healing processes.
