Gingival fibromatosis with congenital hypertrichosis.

Idiopathic gingival fibromatosis is a slowly progressive proliferative fibrous lesion of the gingival tissue, leading to functional, esthetic, and psychological difficulties. This entity is mainly associated with hypertrichosis and epilepsy either as an isolated disorder or as part of a syndrome. We present a case report of a female with severe generalized gingival fibromatosis and hypertrichosis which was treated by conventional gingivectomies under local anesthesia.

Awareness and practice concerning oral cancer among Ayurveda and Homeopathy practitioners in Davangere District: A speciality-wise analysis.

Association between use of tobacco and age on graying of hair.

Aims And Objectives: To determine the association between smoking, chewing tobacco (gutka), and age of individual on graying of hair.

Materials And Methods: The present study was conducted on 120 patients attending the Outpatient Department of the DJ College of Dental Sciences and Research, Modinagar, UP. The individuals were classified into four groups (group I, II, III, IV) on the basis of the form of tobacco use (smoking or chewing).

The effect of different chemical surface treatments of denture teeth on shear bond strength: a comparative study.

Background: The development of better cross linked acrylic resin teeth has solved the problems related to wearing and discoloration of acrylic teeth. The same cross linking at ridge lap region acts as a double edge sword as it weakens the bond between denture base and tooth.

Aim Of Study: The purpose of study was to evaluate the effect of surface treatment on the bond strength of resin teeth to denture base resin using monomethyl methacrylate monomer and dichloromethane with no surface treatment acting as control.
