Background: This study evaluates the fracture resistance of apical plugs created from Biodentine and mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) in thicknesses of 3 and 5 mm within simulated open apex tooth models.
Methods: Fifty human maxillary central incisors were obtained from a pool of freshly extracted teeth. In order to replicate open apices without cavity preparation, ten teeth in the control group received apical-to-coronal preparation with Peeso reamers.

Objectives: Oral epithelial dysplasia (OED) is characterized by cellular alterations which have the proclivity of progressing to squamous cell carcinoma. Excision repair cross-complement group 1 (ERCC1) is one of the key proteins involved in nucleotide excision repair (NER) pathway. The expression of ERCC1 has been studied in colorectal, esophageal, ovarian and oral squamous cell carcinoma; but, very few studies have been done to apprehend the expression of ERCC1 in OED and early invasive squamous cell carcinoma (EISCC).

Methods: Data was collected from patient records and histologically diagnosed cases of odontogenic cysts and tumors. The age, gender of patients, as well as the site of lesion was recorded.

Unlabelled: Kaposi sarcoma is a low-grade vascular neoplasm associated with Human Herpesvirus-8 (HHV8) infection. Although India has a large HIV infected population, Kaposi's sarcoma is rare and only 12 cases of AIDS related Kaposi's sarcoma from India have been reported in the published literature to our knowledge. The 50% of total cases in India has been reported from Mumbai.

Dentinogenesis imperfecta type II or hereditary opalscent dentin is one of the most common autosomal dominant anomaly of dentin that occurs in both sex affecting approximately 1:8000 persons. Clinically this disorder is characterized by variable blue gray to yellow brown teeth, with fracture of enamel and excessive wear. The treatment strategy is focused towards protecting teeth from further wear and tear and total oral rehabilitation of patient with paramount importance to aesthetics, obtaining an appropriate vertical dimension and providing soft tissue support which will help to return the facial profile to a more normal appearance.

Crown fracture of maxillary anterior teeth is frequent dental injuries for which patients seek immediate dental treatment. Immediate reattachment of the intact fractured tooth segment is a therapeutic choice in such cases. This case report presents one of the best methods used for reattachment, which is an ultraconservative technique.

Carcinoma of the nasal vestibule often requires radical surgical excision, which results in total or partial loss of the nose followed by radiation therapy. A noninvasive, cost-effective technique for rehabilitation of a patient with squamous cell carcinoma of the nasal vestibule following partial rhinectomy and radiation therapy using heat-polymerizing clear acrylic resin is presented.
