Background: We aimed to describe the epidemiology, cross-transmission, interventions, and outcomes of carbapenem-resistant (CRKP) infections in the hematological malignancies (HM) department of a hospital in China.
Methods: This prospective study was divided into three stages from 2014 to 2022: Period 1 (from 1 January 2014 to 4 March 2021), Period 2 (from 5 March 2021 to 31 December 2021), and Period 3 (from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2022), with different measures implemented at each stage to evaluate the rate of new infections. The risk factors, epidemiological characteristics, data from all patients with CRKP, NGS gene sequencing molecular epidemiology analysis, and cross-transmission were described.

This research on microplastics (MPs) in marine environments, particularly in Bay of Bengal fish, underscores the limited comprehension of their accumulation and potential health and environmental consequences. The study investigated the abundance of MPs in the organs of nine marine fish species from the north Bay of Bengal, assessing their polymeric risks and implications for human health. The average MPs ingested by each individual was 32.

This paper proposes an Improved Spider Wasp Optimizer (ISWO) to address inaccuracies in calculating the population (N) during iterations of the SWO algorithm. By innovating the population iteration formula and integrating the advantages of Differential Evolution and the Crayfish Optimization Algorithm, along with introducing an opposition-based learning strategy, ISWO accelerates convergence. The adaptive parameters trade-off probability (TR) and crossover probability (Cr) are dynamically updated to balance the exploration and exploitation phases.

Background: Physical inactivity in middle-aged and older adults is a major health problem. Exercise snacks are an emerging form of physical activity characterized by shorter single bouts of high-intensity exercise spread out repeatedly throughout the day which can provide more exercise opportunities for middle-aged and older adults.
Purpose: To summarize perceptions and experiences of exercise snacks among middle-aged and older adults, and explore the barriers and facilitators of promoting exercise snacks.

Cobalamin, generally known as vitamin B, is a crucial component required for humans in several physiological processes. It has been produced from sources that are derived from animals, making it difficult for vegetarians and vegans to consume the recommended amount each day. The importance of vitamin B in red blood cell production, DNA synthesis, and brain processes has been highlighted.

Research Centre for Environment and Sustainable Development of Civil Aviation of China, Civil Aviation University of China, Tianjin 300300, China.
The growth of the civil aviation industry has raised concerns about the impact of airport emissions on human health and the environment. The aim of this study was to quantify the emissions of sulfur dioxide (SO), nitrogen oxides (NO), and carbon monoxide (CO) from in-service aircraft via open-path Fourier-transform infrared (OP-FTIR) spectroscopy at Tianjin Binhai International Airport. The results suggest that the CO and NO emission indices (EIs) for five common aircraft/engine combinations exhibited substantial discrepancies from those reported in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) databank.

This paper proposes an Improved Lemur Optimization algorithm (ILO), which combines the advantages of the Spider Monkey Optimization algorithm, Simulated Annealing algorithm, and Lemur Optimization algorithm. Through the use of an adaptive nonlinear decrement model, adaptive learning factors, and updated jump rates, the algorithm enhances its global exploration and local exploitation capabilities. A Gaussian function model is used to simulate the mountain environment, and a mathematical model for UAV flight is established based on constraints and objective functions.

The budgeted influence maximization (BIM) problem aims to identify a set of seed nodes that adhere to predefined budget constraints within a specified network structure and cost model. However, it is difficult for the existing algorithms to achieve a balance between timeliness and effectiveness. To address this challenge, our study initially proposes a refined cost model through empirical scrutiny of Weibo's quote data.
