In recent years, low-density polyethylene (LDPE) has emerged as an essential component of the routine tasks that people engage in on a daily basis. However, over use of it resulted in environmental buildup that contaminated aquatic habitats and human health. Biodegradation is the most effective way for controlling pollution caused by synthetic plastic waste in a sustainable manner.

The impact of COVID-19 urges scientists to develop targeted drug delivery to manage Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) viral infections with a fast recovery rate. The aim of the study is to develop Hyaluronic Acid (HA) drug conjugates of viral drugs to target two important enzymes (Mpro and PLpro) of SARS-CoV-2. Three antiviral drugs, namely Dexamethasone (DEX), Favipiravir (FAV), and Remdesivir (REM), were chosen for HA conjugation due to their reactive functional groups.

Introduction: Chronic refractory low back and lower extremity pain recalcitrant to conservative management and epidural injections secondary to postsurgery syndrome, spinal stenosis, and disc herniation are sometimes managed with percutaneous adhesiolysis. Consequently, this systematic review and meta-analysis was undertaken to assess the efficacy of percutaneous adhesiolysis in managing low back and lower extremity pain.

Methods: A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) utilizing the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) checklist was performed.

Article Synopsis
  • To create effective biosensing devices, an electrochemical transducer matrix must possess properties like quick electron transfer, stability, high surface area, biocompatibility, and specific functional groups for biomolecule attachment.
  • Common biomarker assessment techniques include enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays, gel electrophoresis, mass spectrometry, and fluorescence spectroscopy, but they face limitations regarding detection time, sample size, sensitivity, cost, and the need for skilled personnel, which makes them less suitable for clinical applications.
  • A newly developed immunosensor utilizing a flower-structured molybdenum disulfide-decorated zinc oxide composite shows excellent performance in detecting the oral cancer biomarker IL8, with very low detection limits and high stability, sensitivity,

Currently, permanent vascular stents are fabricated using titanium and stainless steel implants that are nondegradable and offer high stability, but they have certain disadvantages. For example, the prolonged exposition of aggressive ions in the physiological media and the existence of defects in the oxide film create conditions for corrosion to occur, thus triggering unwanted biological events and compromising the mechanical integrity of the implants. Moreover, when the implant does not need to be permanent, there is the need to submit the patient for a second surgery for implant removal.

The impact of ZnO/SnO/reduced graphene oxide nanocomposites (ZnO/SnO/rGO NCs) for improved photocatalytic degradation of organic dye pollution is examined in this study. The developed ternary nanocomposites had a variety of characteristics that were detected, such as crystallinity, recombination of photogenerated charge carriers, energy gap, and surface morphologies. When rGO was added to the mixture, the optical band gap energy of ZnO/SnO was lowered, which improved the photocatalytic activity.

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, a prominent family of persistent organic molecules produced by both anthropogenic and natural processes, are widespread in terrestrial and aquatic environments owing to their hydrophobicity, electrochemical stability and low aqueous solubility. Phenanthrene and naphthalene belong to the group of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons whose occurrence are reported to be relatively higher. The bioremediation mode of removing the toxicities of these two compounds has been reported to be promising than other methods.

In this paper, we obtain the new single-condition criteria for the oscillation of second-order half-linear delay difference equation. Even in the linear case, the sharp result is new and, to our knowledge, improves all previous results. Furthermore, our method has the advantage of being simple to prove, as it relies just on sequentially improved monotonicities of a positive solution.
