Aim And Background: Angioedema is a nonpruritic swelling that typically affects the skin, mucous membranes of the face, and perioral soft tissues. It can be life-threatening, but it is usually not and can be treated conservatively unless the airway is compromised. This paper seeks to illuminate a rare case of hereditary angioedema (HAE) onset following dental procedures in a 9-year-old Indian boy.

Endodontically treated teeth with compromised coronal tooth structure often require core build-ups with the support of radicular posts. In certain cases, the traditional post and core approach may not be possible due to various anatomical and clinical contraindications. Such cases require more meticulous planning and alternative treatment approaches for successful outcomes.

Aim: Porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM) restorations are essential in fixed prosthodontics for their strength and esthetics, but are prone to fractures due to material disparities and stress factors. This study evaluates the shear bond strength (SBS) of two porcelain repair systems for cohesive and adhesive fractures in conventional PFM and direct metal laser-sintered (DMLS) restorations, addressing clinical repair needs.
Materials And Methods: Thirty metal-ceramic discs were fabricated and divided into two main groups based on the fabrication method: Conventional casting and DMLS.

Aim And Objective: To evaluate the pretreatment cephalometric records on the dental, skeletal, soft tissue, and incisor relationship with a twin block functional appliance in class II malocclusion patients in and around Mahe; evaluate the posttreatment cephalometric records on the dental, skeletal, soft tissue, and incisor relationship with a twin block functional appliance in class II malocclusion patients in these children; and to compare cephalometrically certain dental, skeletal, and soft tissue points in pretreatment and posttreatment cephalograms in them.
Materials And Methods: This study was conducted on 20 class II patients in the mixed dentition period, who were treated with twin block therapy. Each had to meet the following criteria-(1) skeletal class II malocclusion with retrognathic mandible; (2) full cusp class II molar relationship; and (3) an angle of ANB of 50 or greater at the start of treatment.

Head and neck cancer, which includes the oral cancer, is the seventh commonest cancer worldwide, estimating for more than 660,000 fresh cases and 325,000 mortalities every year. However, cancer and its treatment are often associated with prolonged adverse physical and psychosocial symptoms, including reduced physical function and fitness and increased risk of anxiety, depression, and fatigue. This greatly impacts the patient's quality of life (QoL).

Context: The main objective of endodontic therapy is to achieve a sterile environment and three-dimensional filling of the root canals. Endodontic sealers play an important role in the obturation of the root canal system as they may provide a seal, which prevents the penetration of bacteria. Sealers are meant to entomb residual bacteria, prevent leakage of nutrients, and ideally possess antibacterial properties.

Introduction The primary goal of endodontic therapy is to achieve a three-dimensional filling of the root canal. The sealer plays a crucial role in filling the residual gaps between the gutta-percha and the canal wall, which prevents fluids and bacteria from entering the canal and causing complications. This study evaluates and compares the sealing ability of four root canal sealers to the root dentin.

Current implant therapy is a frequently employed treatment for individuals who have lost teeth, as it offers functional and biological advantages over old prostheses. Concurrently, active exploration of intervention strategies aims to prevent the progression of peri-implant diseases and manage the existing peri-implant tissue damage. Indian Society of Periodontology has recognized the need for systematic documents to update the everyday clinical practice of general dental practitioners and has provided evidence-based consensus documents, namely good clinical practice recommendations from time to time to raise the oral health-related awareness and standards of oral health-care delivery across the country.

Chronic traumatic ulcers (CTUs) of the oral cavity are frequently brought on by repeated mechanical stress, such as biting or friction from dental appliances, or sharp or broken carious teeth. Although they are frequently disregarded, patients with nonhealing ulcers in the mouth should have CTUs taken into consideration. This report highlights the significance of differential diagnosis and suitable treatment options by discussing a case of a CTU that persisted on the tongue's right lateral border.

Background And Objectives: Most of the dento-alveolar trauma that occurs frequently in childhood is often linked to avulsion injuries. Two considerable elements influencing the prognosis of tooth avulsion after replantation are extraoral dry duration and the characteristics of the storage media to support the viability of cells. The study aimed to compare and assess the effectiveness of Hanks' balanced salt solution (HBSS) (HiMedia Laboratories, Thane, India) and Placentrex (Albert David Limited, Kolkata, India) against propolis (5% and 10%) as storage media in preserving the vitality of periodontal ligament (PDL) cells.

Background Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) and oral leukoplakia (OL) with dysplasia are closely linked conditions in the oral cavity, with the latter often indicating precancerous changes, underscoring the urgency of early detection and intervention. Histopathological confirmation is crucial for accurate diagnosis. The nucleolar organizer region (NOR), specifically analyzed through silver-staining (argyrophilic NORs), provides insights into nuclear changes associated with the lesion.

Unlabelled: Background This research set out to collate and contrast three popular luting agents-heated composite resin, resin-modified glass ionomer cement (RMGIC), and resin cement, and light-cure resin cement by measuring their shear bond strengths. Shear bond strength was measured between lithium disilicate discs (IPS E-max) and specimens luted with heated composite resin (Tetric N-Ceram, Ivoclar Vivadent), self-adhesive resin cement (3M ESPE Rely X U200), light-activated resin cement (Rely X Veneer cement), and resin-modified glass ionomer cement (Fuji Plus, GC America). A comparison was made between the shear bond strength of standard luting cement and heated composite resin on lithium disilicate discs.

Radiotherapy can potentially influence the diversity and composition of the oral microbiome. We performed a study comparing the composition of oral microbiota in patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) before radiotherapy (n = 6), at three months (n = 6), and six months (n = 6) post-radiotherapy, and controls (n = 6). We profiled the oral microbiome by 16S rRNA gene sequencing using Illumina MiSeq.
